Please can someone confirm why Musa is not playing to keep fit again or is he no longer an home based player? Brainwash republicans.
The you want these homebased to finish his career when they put up a shambolic performance.
Crazy Musa is also an home based, the level of disrespect dished out to home based is becoming embarrassing just like people insult police. Yet we forget that without police anyone can just enter your home and walk away with your items if you no get power wetin you go do? The world is full of hypocrisy…. MALAM MUSA is a proud man using people to get to the top and refusing to accord same respect Alli gave him back to the home based family. Kano pillars should show him the door. He’s an hypocrite together with the Nigerian football management leaving Yobo to go and run pundit. This is a total disgrace to NFF another sign of failure by bringing Aigbogun this Egunje master that performed woefully in the past to handle and disgrace Nigeria again.
Really good point @ Mike. I asked this same question about Musa not being in that list of players invited but no answer. The only reason Musa can be spared is if he is down injured otherwise all these coming home to play local is just hypocrisy. And NFF allowing such to happen shows how utterly disorganized they are, without any working plans. I will now wait to see what happens with Musa regarding invitation of players for the forth coming world cup qualifiers.
This is the Mexico squad list (below) the SE will be playing on Saturday as part of their (Mexico NT) preparation for the Concacaf Gold Cup that starts on July 10th or so.
I think if our local boys can just play football and not let any kind of complex or stage fright affect them, they should be able to get a respectable result against these Mexicans.
Mexico 2021 Gold Cup squad
Goalkeepers: Rodolfo Cota (Leon), Jonathan Orozco (Tijuana), Alfredo Talavera (Pumas)
Defenders: Kevin Alvarez (Pachuca), Nestor Araujo (Celta Vigo), Jesus Gallardo (Monterrey), Hector Moreno (Monterrey), Luis Rodriguez (Tigres), Osvaldo Rodriguez (Leon), Carlos Salcedo (Tigres), Gilberto Sepulveda (Chivas de Guadalajara)
Midfielders: Edson Alvarez (Ajax), Efrain Alvarez (LA Galaxy), Alan Cervantes (Santos Laguna), Jonathan dos Santos (LA Galaxy), Erick Gutierrez (PSV), Hector Herrera (Atletico Madrid), Orbelin Pineda (Cruz Azul), Erick Sanchez (Pachuca)
Forwards: Jesus Corona (Porto), Rogelio Funes Mori (Monterrey), Hirving Lozano (Napoli), Alan Pulido (Sporting Kansas City)
So they don’t even have many squad members who are playing in the top 5 league… Lol.
@JimmyBall;
Ofcourse they do, bcos of the period the Gold Cup is holding which is basically too close to or during pre-season activities in Europe, alot of the Top teams have left out their top European stars to get some rest before pre-season starts. A good case study here is the USMNT, the link below is for your reference;

Ha, Coachie, Jimbo, this is their main squad na. Lozano, Osimhens’s colleague at Napoli, dey there too. Omo, e get as e be. Our boys will try, but I hope we are not setting ourselves up for some huge embarrassment. I for one simply can’t take a hammering at this time. I just can’t!
I really hope the coaches and players are up for this one. Even if they are better than us technically, we need to use our superior body frame and be on point tactically. Rough tackles in our vital area need to be kept to a minimum, because the ref will always blow in their favor. That’s a given.
The tactics should revolve around pressing them high up, and parking the bus when they attack us. If we do this well, then we will limit the scoreline to something respectable if we lose. We might even snatch a draw or beat them. But we must play well and get the tactics right.
It is too late to lament.
@Oga Pompei, you see the reason why I am fighting for our right?
You now understand that NFF are not there for us?
Do you if know that Mr. Eguavoen won’t be available for the encounter?
Coach Aigbogun is going to lead the team according to the news I read yesterday.
Oga Rohr have to go with our world class coach, a.k.a Oga Rohr.
The sports minister is aware of what is going in our sports that is why is fighting this people.
The system is very corrupt. God bless Nigeria!!!
@Omo9ja, Please what battle is the Sports Minister fighting. Does he even know Sports in the first place. He is a Sports Journalist known for noise making and is performing what he knows – noise making. What policy to improve sports has he suggested or even improve the welfare of other sports in our country? After all, we know that the Super Eagles and other national teams have been complaining about salaries. Yet not one improvement on payment from the Ministry, even if it is the job of NFF to pay players. If we take an example from the likes of England and others, who can guarantee even pension for their football players after retirement. Is that not something the Sports Minister should be working towards rather than poking his nose in Super Eagles player selection. We must learn to hold people accountable for their noise and air pollution. Period
It is too late to lament.

Confusion every where. We don’t even know when we are playing the match.
Is it going to be on Saturday or on Sunday, we don’t know.
Mr. Pinnick have to go with our world class coach, a.k.a Oga Rohr.
The sports minister is aware of what is going on in our sports, that is why the gentleman is fighting this people.
The system is very corrupt.
@Ben, thank you for asking such a question from me.
He have every right to react when things are not going well.
I understand that nobody should work for free but that is not the issue here.
The main point we are talking about is that, Oga Rohr doesn’t know his role and NFF are paying him to do certain things but still, he is very picky without winning a trophy for Nigeria.
What is the point of hiring a foreign coach that can’t do anything beyond our ex players and local coaches?
NFF are the master planners of the Nigerian football and they are happy with the situation of the Super Eagles.
Hmm. Our home based team is about to confront Mexico main team when Yobo and Oga Rohr intentionally ran away, avoiding
the Super Eagles because they don’t have what it takes to be in charge of the Super Eagles against Mexico.
Instead to use our main team to confront Mexico but NFF and our incompetent coaches doing their things again.
Yobo is out. Oga Rohr is out and now Eguavoen.
It’s well planned.
Aigbogun that didn’t do well with our under age team is the one that will confront a Mexican team?
It’s so sad.
Super Falcons players should be complaining now not Super Eagles.
Our ladies always serious when they are playing for Nigeria but NFF doesn’t care that much about our ladies.
So, Mr. Dare is trying his best to bring back our sports.
Let’s give him more time to settle down.
God bless Nigeria!!!
Tomorrow, some of these boys’ lives will change for the better. A good performance in 90 mins is all that is required. Go for it boys!
Rohr to take charge of home eagles against mexico.
Another setup 4 d gaffer lol… Watch out baba NFF LMAO.
