How Iheanacho Can Win Rodger’s Heart At Leicester City -Amuneke

Former Nigerian midfielder, Emmanuel Amuneke has advised Super Eagles forward, Kelechi Iheanacho to continue to focus on his game despite been drop to the bench by Leicester City manager, Brendan Rodgers.

The Nigerian international who had a successful performance last season, is yet to start a game in the Premier League for the Foxes.

However, he was among the goal scorers as the Foxes tamed Millwall in Wednesday’s Carabao Cup, to earn a place in the tournament’s fourth round – where they will face Brighton and Hove Albion.

In an interview with TribalFootball, the Atlanta Olympic gold medalist, stated that Iheanacho will soon win his way into Rodger’s heart.

“He should not allow the success of the today to overwhelm him because what is good today in football is outdated tomorrow, so he just needs to continue to realise that and continue to work hard.

“He’s a player with talent, but of course there are other aspects a player needs to try as much as he can to improve especially when he is not with the ball. It is more important to know how to play without the ball and that will justify how to rate a player totally.”

  • Let him score triple hat trick, coconut and sturborn head Rodger still won’t start him ahead those British underperforming in his team, kelechi should just leave, I’m sure top ream will get him ASAP.

He has already proven himself last season and so for me he gat nothing to proove…He should leave the club next summer if the same problem persist. Leave the place where they don’t want you and go to somewhere where you will be celebrated. That Brenda doesn’t seem to like you so leave before them kill your career. You go die say you wan will Brenda heart? See Onuachu is living like a king in Belgium. I dey play for premier league, I dey play for premier league, all na just name if you dey chop bench ooo. Nothing dey there my brother.

You both make a good point. However, the problem Kelechi is facing is that it’s very hard to walk away from all that POUNDS STERLING 🙂 🙂 🙂
It’s all about the Benjamins. If he gets a better offer than what he currently has, then he will go.
As frustrating as his situation is, in a way, Nigeria benefits from this situation. Better for Kelechi to be playing a bit part role at Leicester which reduces the possibility of serious injury, than for him to be at a club where he is the main man, playing every match and risking injury and/or burn out. As long as Rodgers continues to give him a minimum of 30 mins per game, he should be ok. That will keep him fit and fresh for NIGERIA DUTIES.

There’s no need to be ashamed of stating in black and white where your interest lies. After all the legendary Bob Marley sang “He who fights and runs away lives to fight another day.”

  • Kelechi is currently the best striker at Leicester, just that Rodgers has somany strikers and he has chosen to favor the British strikers

  • ALL KELECHI NEEDS TO DO IS KEEP PERFORMING EVERY TIME HE IS GIVEN AN OPPORTUNITY. WHEN TEAMS SEE THAT HE IS A QUALITY PLAYER THEY WILL COME FOR HIM. REMEMBER HE CANT JUST LEAVE TO ANY CLUB HE WANTS, THEY HAVE TO COME FOR HIM.
A BIG CONGRATULATIONS TO VICTOR OSIMHEN ON HIS BRACE AGAINST SAMPDORIA. WISH HE HAD SCORED A HAT TRICK BUT THEY WILL BE TIME FOR THAT.
THIS SEASON, I FEEL THE TOP GOALS SCORER AWARD IN THE SERIE A WILL BE BETWEEN OSIMHEN AND T.ABRAHAM
    LET’S SEE HOW IT GOES.

You started well but ended it with trash by saying Tammy Abraham will be a direct competition for top goal scorer award….. Where did you leave immobile who is already on 6 goals and has been consistent in the last 3 seasons..

129 goals in 182 appearances is no hype my guy get your facts right before you discredit other people. How many Nigerian strikers currently have that kind of stats with their clubsides ? He is 31 and still banging in goals. 20 goals last season and 36 the season before and currently has 6. My guy get your facts right before you sound stupid.
