‘I Came To Hajduk Split To Do My Best’ –Awaziem

Super Eagles defender, Chidozie Awaziem has revealed that he’s delighted to have joined Croatian club, HNK Hajduk.

Recall that the Nigerian international penned a season-long loan deal on Monday.

Awaziem linked up with Hajduk Split from Portuguese club, Boavista.

He said: “I know that Split is a beautiful city and that the fans are very passionate and love football,” Awaziem told the club’s official website.

“I also like football, so we are very similar in that. I came to Split to give my best and to fulfill our goals.”

So long as you play regularly, all will be well. It doesn’t make sense to move to an average league like Croatia only to sit on the bench.
It is a pity you couldn’t move to a superior league. So make the best of this move to stay fit. It is better to play regularly in Croatia than to sit on the bench in England like Ekong.

Let us encourage our players. It is not easy to secure lucrative contracts with big clubs. The most important thing for Awaziem now is to play regularly. If Ekong cannot play regularly in England, he will become rusty.
