I Regret My Mom Is Not Alive To Enjoy My Stardom- Iheanacho

Super Eagles forward, Kelechi Iheanacho has revealed that the thought of not having his late mother around him makes him sad.

Recall that Iheanacho lost his mother aged 16 after a brief illness. Few months after the death of Mercy Iheanacho, Kelechi rose to fame and became the youngest footballer in the world after he led Nigeria to the FIFA U17 World Cup in UAE.

In an interview with New Flame, Kelechi Iheanacho stated that his biggest personal regret is not having his mother alive to enjoy the fruit of her labor.

“I’m getting emotional now because… I wish I had my mom here to celebrate with me because she’s one person in my life that, she always stood by me. It breaks my heart when I remember she is no more and she’s not even enjoying all this.”

“Death is unfair. Imagine having the chance to buy her whatever she’d like to have now, take her wherever she’d love to go, yet death took her away. ” He said.

My heart felt the pain you carry every day. Take note, perhaps, that she is seeing you and watching over you everyday as you progress and reaching for the top of your career. Iheanacho, God, in His infinite Mercies, will continue to shower His Glorious Love on you through out the days of your life. Amen.

Certainly she the one that opened the road or the doors for your family , it was after my dad died that things began to work well for me and my family …. certainly your mum is seeing everything and all the suffering you guys went through

Very touching indeed !!! I can relate to your pain brother. Mothers are a rare gem. However i want you to know that she is up there smiling and watching over you. And she doesnt want to see her little boy looking sad and sorrowful. You must brace up for her. May God rest her soul and strengthen you also. Amen

Only someone who has gone through same pain can understand how you feel. I have gone through and knows exactly how you feel. I have no dad and no mother, I guess you still have your dad around treat him with respect and spoil him if you can. A
