I Will Choose Benzema Way Ahead Of Salah –Moreno

Former LA Galaxy forward, Alejandro Moreno has revealed that he will select Karim Benzema as his best player ahead of Mohamed Salah.

Recall that both Benzema and Salah helped their respective clubs, Real Madrid and Liverpool to qualify for this season’s UEFA Champions League final.

Both superstars are at the peak of their powers, scoring several goals so far this season. They are being touted as potential winners of the 2022 Ballon D’Or.

Asked who he believes is the better of the two, Moreno told ESPN: “Karim Benzema, not only do I pick him ahead of Mo Salah, I pick him ahead of anybody else in the world right now. That is how good he has been over the last few months, the best player in the world.

“No matter who you put on the other side, I am still taking Karim Benzema. He has been outstanding, his goals have been critical, the execution in the final 3rd, the penalties. Everything you can ask a striker to do, he’s been giving a clinic. I am taking Karim Benzema.”

Benzema’s Goal Record

Benzema has a brilliant record of 43 goals in 43 appearances in all competitions for Real Madrid so far.

At the age of 34, the France international is currently the top scorer in the UEFA Champions League with 15 goals.

This season, Benzema is La Liga’s top scorer with 22 goals. He also has the most assists (11) in the league and recently celebrated becoming Madrid’s third all-time highest goalscorer, scoring 41 goals in 41 appearances this season alone in all competitions.

Salah’s Goal Record

Salah is in dazzling form yet again for Liverpool, having scored 30 goals in 45 appearances across all competitions for the Reds.

He also holds the record for most Premier League goals scored (32) in a 38-game season, and ranks as Liverpool’s ninth-highest all-time top goalscorer.
