Ighalo Joins Shanghai Shenhua

Odion Ighalo has joined Chinese Super League club, Shanghai Shenhua from relegated side, Changchun Yatai reports Completesports.com.

Ighalo replaces his compatriot, Obafemi Martins at the club.

The details of Ighalo’s deal with Shanghai Shenhua was however not disclosed.

Ighalo bagged 36 goals in 55 games for the Changchun Yatai in two seasons joins his former manager at Watford Qique Sanchez Flores after successfully passing a medical on Wednesday.

“Nigerian striker is joining Shenhua. He will reunite with Flores from their days at Watford,” a tweet from the official handle of Shanghai Shenhua revealed.

Ighalo could make his debut for on the 1st of March, against Shanghai SIPG, in the opening day fixture of the 2019 Chinese Super League Season.

Ighalo who was previously linked with a return back to the Premier League had in the past played for Julius Berger, Lyn Oslo, Udinese, Cessna, Granada, Watford and Changchun Yatai.

    For it’s a good move compared to his former club at this club he will be challenged and pushed to his limits
