Ighalo Talks Up Better Fortunes Ahead For Man United After Home Defeat To PSG

Odion Ighalo believes there are better days ahead for Manchester United as the 2020/2021 season progresses despite their home defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League.

Ighało made his debut appearance in the Champions League on Wednesday as Manchester United suffered a 3-1 defeat against PSG in a Group H match which took place at Old Trafford.

The Shanghai Shenhua loanee was a 90th-minute substitute for Aaron Wan-Bissaka but his introduction did nothig to save the Red Devils from going down despite playing at home.

Former Barcelona star, Neymar secured all three points for PSG in the stoppage time with his second goal of the night after Marquinhos restored their lead in the second half.

Neymar broke the deadlock for PSG in the sixth minute, Marcus Rashford equalised but United were reduced to 10 men after Fred received a second yellow card in the 70th minute.

Ighalo posted on his verified Instagram page: “Better days ahead, chin up boys.” Meanwhile, Jude Ighalo Fans tweeted “Uefa Champions League Debut For This Man Tonight. #ighalo.”

Prior to his debut on Wednesday night, Ighalo, had played the role of an unused substitute in United’s last four outings in the Champions League so far during the 2020/21 season.
