Iheanacho Gets Highest Rating In Leicester vs Crystal Palace Draw

Kelechi Iheanacho got the highest rating among Leicester City players, in Sunday’s 2-2 draw at Crystal Palace.

The rating was compiled by Leicester Mercury and was for every Leicester player who featured against Palace.

Iheanacho marked his first Premier League start and his 25th birthday by broking the deadlock for the Foxes.

It is Iheanacho’s first goal in the league and his second in all competitions this season.

His all round performance earned him a rating of eight out of 10, the highest by any Leicester player.

And commenting on his performance, Leicester Mercury wrote:”On his birthday, and on his first Premier League start of the season, he was City’s star man.

“Scored the first goal entirely by himself by showing intensity to press then coolness to finish, while showed off brilliant close control to create chances for others. It begs the question: why has it taken this long for him to start?”

Yet he was one to get substituted.Probably he would have scored a second because he most times leaves it late but trust Rodgers to sub him out notwithstanding his output, this is very discouraging the nepotism is very clear but Nacho’s performance keep making it difficult for Rodgers to continue to keep him on the bench.
Hopefully, yesterday’s performance would make a case for him to start future games.

  • Na wa o, a whole Tielemens rated 4 out of 10. Does ndidi’s absence have anything to do with it?
Anyway I am happy for iheanachos development, he has really improved especially in terms of closing down the opposition.
He did it against man city at the charity shield and scored the resulting penalty, he did it against napoli and gave the pass that resulted in a goal, he did it against crystal palace and scored. He has really adjusted to being a predatory number 9, he may not necessary have the energy or pace of an Osimhen but when he strikes he is effective. Plus he has good ball holding and distribution skills and his passes are exquisite. He is a goal threat in any game. Should be playing regularly and in a bigger team.

  • Its so funny every time iheanacho scores a goal and the English commentators refer to him as “THE SENIORMAN”

  • Who the hell did this rating and gave this guy Hamza Choudhury 5? He is not getting more than 3, the weakest player in the team yesterday n force tieleman to work harder than usual.
