Iheanacho: It’s A Joy To Play Under Rodgers

Kelechi Iheanacho says Brendan Rodgers has had a real impact on his career and insists it is a ‘joy’ to play under the Northern Irishman.

Rodgers took charge of the Foxes in February 2019 after leaving his role as manager of Scottish Premiership club Celtic.

Iheanacho has struggeld to play regularly under the former Liverpool manager but still holds his boss in high esteem.

“He’s a different class,” Iheanacho told Leicester City’s official website.

“He speaks to everyone and motivates and encourages them. He got me going, to be fair.

“He got everyone going. Whenever I’m playing, I’m free to express myself, so long as I stick to the plan, and it’s just a joy to play under him.”

Leicestr City face AFC Bournemouth at Vitality Stadium on Sunday.

The Foxes currently occupy fourth place in the top-flight standings as they look to secure the Club’s second-best finish in the Premier League era.
