Iheanacho Vows To Keep Working Hard At Leicester City

Nigeria forward Kelechi Iheanacho is determined to keep working hard at Leicester City after earning rave reviews for recent performance for the club.

Iheanacho has bagged four goals in four matches in all competitions this campaign, and scored one and set up another during last weekend’s 4-1 win at Aston Villa.

Delighted to be involved in both the Premier League and Carabao Cup, Iheanacho discussed the role that every player in the squad has for City this campaign.

“I think every player tries to make an impact, from the goalkeeper to defence; midfield through to attack,” Iheanacho told CITY Matchday Magazine.

“Everybody wants to ensure what they do has an impact in the game.

“That’s why we’re such a good team, because even if you come off the bench you need to make sure that you have the same desire to make an impact as everybody already on the field.

“For me, as I’ve said, I just want to make sure that I’m focused.”

The Foxes are set to contest their fourth of eight fixtures during the month of December, and Iheanacho believes it is a crucial period for everyone.

He added: “December is a big month for every team in the Premier League. I think that a lot of players enjoy it, because there are more games. I enjoy it a lot.

“But it’s also a time when you need to take care of yourself more than ever. There are so many games, so it’s important that you recover well and look after yourself.

“It’s so cold too! You need to keep warm and warm-up well to avoid injury.”

Iheanacho will look to make his 100th Premier League appearance when Leicester City host Norwich City at the King Power Stadium on Saturday.
