Ike Ugbo Nets Winner As Chelsea Beat Bournemouth In Friendly

Ike Ugbo scored the winning goal as Chelsea came from behind to win 2-1 in a friendly at Bournemouth, reports Completesports.com.

Emiliano Marcondes headed Bournemouth in front early in the second half.

Armando Broja, who recently signed a new five-year contract, equalised by finishing from close range after being found by Baba Rahman’s cross.

Ugbo’s future appears to be away from Chelsea – the striker is expected to leave the club before the start of the new season.

But he was on hand to nod the Blues ahead from Ross Barkley’s left-wing corner with 14 minutes remaining.

Chelsea’s pre-season campaign will continue with a game at Arsenal on Sunday.

  • So what??? he will probably choose England please stop with all this Nigerian English boys in diasporra there loyalty lies with England except for a very few always the less talented ones. The ones England aren’t looking their way. My thing is Going forward if we can’t get the best like i.e. Saka or Eze. den lets stick with Nigerians born in Nigeria but Move to big European clubs because of talent

    • @ugo iwunze so Iwobi is less talented? Victor Moses is less talented? Ola Aina is less talented? Joe Aribo is less talented?…..It’s not about talent it’s about the hype that followed them…. England mostly go after hype….If we get this players into our team before the hype starts then it’s a win for us…..We did that in the case of Iwobi Moses Aina and Aribo…..Saka’s hype started early and we started going for him the same time with England, the same as Abraham…..Eze’s own is different because we had the chance to get him into our team earlier when the hype had not started but we refused until the hype started then we now came to our senses but then it was already late…..I think we should get Calvin bassey in now before the hype starts….same goes for okoflex Okonkwo and possibly shoretire and many more because once the hype starts now people like you will say they are more talented that is why they didn’t come to play for Nigeria…..They are also Nigerians like every other player and they have equal right to fight for a place In the team.

      • @Akp the answer is simple yes they are all less talented I mean come on guy Saka was keeping Jadon Sancho, Jack Grealish, Phil Foden on the bench at Euro’s just look at the competition he is beating in that team. to see how talented a player is look at the caliber of players he is overcoming in his/her position. lets look at, point in case Aina for e.g ask yourself, can he keep Trent Alexander Arnold or Kyle Walker or Kieran Trippier out the team? the answer is a resounding no. Look at Alex Iwobi Saka is doing what he couldn’t do at Arsenal so yes I rest my case bros….. You all were all saying Saka won’t succeed he will fasil like Abraham I always say football has levels.

        • @Ugo. So iwobi never did anything at arsenal. So saka is the ne messi that will make us win the world cup. Common, let us stop over hyping these players. I wish him all the best but he is a not a messiah that would have made Nigeria to win afcon or work cup. he may come to Africa and struggle with Nigeria. His style of play may not really get something done in Africa. he is not strong or rugged enough for the African game.

        • @Ugo this is inferiority complex my brother. I am surprised you said Moses is less talented. You have forgotten he played for Chelsea and won the uefa under nbenitez. You forgot iwobi played well for arsenal under wenger and played in the uefa final. Africans always have complex problems. You should also know that iwobi and Moses kept some people on the bench when they laid for these teams. Common…

      • Thank you. I tink people like @Ugo get carried away by the fact that he is an African and those guys are playing for foreign teams. I have always said and I will say it again here – saka’s style of plat may not really be in line with africa’s rugged style. though he may learn after some time but he is not the messiah that will save our football. I want lookman and ejaria… those guys look rugged enough.

    • @Ugo. Actually, Ike has pledged allegiance to Nigeria. So the ball is in the court of our national teams selectors.

Nigeria is population-wise the largest black nation on earth. Our DNA is spread across the universe. Being Nigerian is therefore not only a question of birth within a geographic expression around River Niger. Nigeria is a global cultural project and we are proud that most Blacks can trace their roots to us. So please let us educate ourselves and stop all this narrow-mindedenesss about home-based and foreugn-based.

We have all spoken well. Let us face fact. Assuming we have saka, Philipfoden, Eze,ejari, lukeman, Sancho and Olise in SE today, even with their age, don’t you think those playing the same position as them in the present SE now will visit the bench why some will not get call up? Please answer the question sincerely. Thanks.

My friend, pls get the spellings of the names you listed correctly let’s know who you are really talking about with accuracy and precision. One love.Bravo Nigeria, Bravo Super Eagles.

  • Nawa o! When iwobi was in Saka’s age, he also benched Ozil, Walcott and Chamberlain some times and Villarreal against Arsenal was like yesterday when Chukwueze outshined Saka.
I have question for you too,the way chukwueze used to destroy Barça and Real’s defense almost every seasons, can Saka do the same? If Saka is enough for Arsenal, why will Arsenal and Liverpool be hunting Chukwueze? Plz… Let’s learn to appreciate what we have.
