Man United new signing Andrey Santos has disclosed that he can’t wait to fight together with his new teammates after completing a £50 million transfer to Manchester United from Chelsea.
The 22-year-old joins the Red Devils on a contract until June 2031, with the option of a further year, after United agreed to pay an initial £48 million plus £2 million in performance-related add-ons. Chelsea will also retain a 10 per cent sell-on clause.

The former Chelsea midfielder also revealed his excitement about working under Carrick, whom he described as the ideal coach to help him develop.
He also noted that he joined the club to win the biggest trophies.
“Everything about Manchester United is special; it is an incredible feeling to join a club that some of my biggest idols have represented.
“As a midfielder, I am really excited to have the opportunity to learn from Michael Carrick, he is the perfect coach to help me take the next step in my career and push to achieve my dreams.
“Everybody told me about how ambitious the club is and the amazing environment that has been created here. I know just how strong the squad is and I cannot wait to fight together to compete for the biggest trophies.”

Santos joined Chelsea from Brazilian club Vasco da Gama in 2023 before loan spells at Nottingham Forest and Strasbourg helped accelerate his development.
After returning to Stamford Bridge, he established himself as a regular in Chelsea’s midfield during the 2025/26 campaign, making 43 appearances in all competitions as the Blues enjoyed their strongest run of the season and lifted the FIFA Club World Cup.
