I’m Still The Right Manager To Turn Things Around At United –Ten Hag

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has said he is the right person to turn the team’s poor form around.

United suffered a humiliating 4-0 defeat to Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Monday night.

Michael Olise was the star of the game as he netted a brace while Tyrick Mitchell and Jean-Philippe Mateta each got a goal.

It was United’s 13th Premier League defeat this season, the most by the club in a single league campaign.

Calls for Ten Hag’s sack have now resurfaced following the latest defeat.

But the Dutch coach believes he is still the right man to change the fortunes of the team.

“Absolutely, I am the right manager to turn things around,” Ten Hag said after the game against Palace.

The former Ajax coach lamented the absence of first choice defenders for the game.

The situation saw Brazilian midfielder Casemiro drafted into central defence.

However it was a move that backfired as he was at fault in some of the goals United conceded.

“If the right players are available then we have a good squad,” Ten Hag noted. “But when we miss almost our entire backline then we have problems.”
