Ratchford Set For Spell On Sidelines

Warrington Wolves have confirmed full-back Stefan Ratchford could miss up to 16 weeks of action due to a pectoral injury.

The England international will go under the knife on Wednesday after suffering the injury against Hull FC last weekend.

Ratchford has helped Warrington climb up to second in the Super League table this season, while he is fourth in the Man of Steel standings.

The 30-year-old will still get the chance to play before the end of the season, but Warrington boss Steve Price has confirmed he will miss at least 12 weeks of action.

He told the Warrington Guardian: “Stefan’s going under the knife tomorrow to get his pec reattached. It was an unfortunate injury that he picked up during the game. “It’s hugely unfortunate because he’s been playing some really good football.

I really feel for him because he’s put so much work into his campaign to date. “One positive is that it won’t be season-ending. He’ll be back. He’s the ultimate professional and he’ll handle everything with his rehab.”
