Telecaster Heading For York

Hughie Morrison has confirmed Telecaster is on course for the Dante Stakes at York on Thursday. Castle Down Racing-owned Telecaster is one of 12 colts left after the confirmation stage for the Group Two spectacle and Morrison is feeling optimistic about his charge’s chances of challenging for victory.

The three-year-old finished second on debut at Doncaster, finding only Bangkok better on that day, before claiming the spoils in the Follow At The Races On Twitter Novice Stakes at Windsor last month. Speaking about Telecaster’s chances ahead of the trip to York, Morrison told Sky Sports Racing: “We appear to be Dante-bound.

We’ve confirmed him, it was what we planned to do and that is what we’ll do unless the wheels come off between now and then. “It is slightly intimidating seeing Too Darn Hot, Japan and Line Of Duty going there, too, but we’ll find out.”
