‘It Will Not Be Easy’ — Sudan Coach Tia Expects Difficult Game Against Super Eagles

Sudan head coach Burhaneldin Tia admitted facing the Super Eagles of Nigeria will be a huge task for his side, reports Completesports.com.

The Falcons of Jediane held Guinea-Bissau to a 0-0 draw in their opening game at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations on Tuesday.

Tia’s men will face a more daunting task when they confront three-time winners Nigeria at the Stade Roumde Adija, Garoua on Saturday.

The Super Eagles are the overwhelming favourites to win the contest, and the gaffer is adamant the Super Eagles will be a tough nut to crack for his team.

“It will not be easy, as well as facing Egypt, but these are matches that we have put in our minds and our program before the tournament,” he told the media after his side’s clash against Guinea-Bissau.

Nigeria top Group D with three points, while Sudan and Guinea-Bissau have one point each. Egypt are bottom of the group with with zero point.

This is the same manager that wanted us to lose to Egypt.

  • This is the same Tia that wrote off Nigeria prior to Egypt Match. I just Pray The Super Eagles Teach Him How To Respect Nigeria We’re No Ordinary Country In The World Of Soccer ⚽ Not Just In Africa

I pray our guys don’t get complacent. Take every match like a cup final, that’s the way to glory

Team “Na sidon look we dey” are waiting for u to fail, put them to shame please.

  • TIA don Dey Fear Chai! Lol, no be the same mumu that wrote of the Giant Of Africa Super Eagles. Oya we need to teach you how to respect the big boys.

  • While I commend the efforts of the Coach and the Super Eagles players. I am quite worried about our ball transition from the goal keeper to the attack.
We are playing with too many long balls that sometimes are difficult to control even by our own players.

Though this might work with African teams for now, but after the CIV vs EQG game yesterday. I am more worried about it.

CIV played their game with a better transitioning of the ball on the ground than we did against Egypt.

I believe this should be sorted out by the Coach and his crew.

The pitch we played on @Ben was small with the midfield crowded you have to play to the attackers sometimes from the defence.

      • @Greenturf while I understand that sometimes you have to play directify to the attackers from your goal post. I also believe this is one of Coach Egu’s playing philosophy.

He did it with our under age teams and doing it again with Super Eagles. Like I said, this may work against some African teams but not everyone.

So far so good. Cote D’Ivoire played with better control and ball transitioning.Lets wait till our next match to see if there is any improvement in our ball transitioning.

Instead of coaching his side, this Sudan juju priest was busy telling the world that “Egypt will beat Nigeria because they’re a better side.” It appears he’s realised he has a huge task before him on Saturday.

  • Una Dey worry . Hm. Sudan go collect. Nacha get goal for Sudan game. Mark my words Nacha will come out top scorer in this tournament

  • Lol I have a feeling these guys would frustrate SE by sitting deep . It’s not going to be easy especially if they decide to play 7-2-1 formation haha

Egypt sat too; they were mauled. Sudan won’t escape either. One the current super eagles is the urgency in their play. Again, we can only problem with this kind of style if resort to attacking the Sudanese from the middle. But it seems the tactical leaning of Eguaveon is wing play. Lots of ball will come into Sudan’s vital area from the wings which will surely trouble them. Furthermore, our wing players possess the ability to drag Sudan defenders out of position. This will free up some our players in attacking position and increase our scoring chances. All in all, I see us winning the match.

  • The man don’t look like coach to me he look like juju man. Maybe he has checked his local Google and the thing has told him that the juju can’t stop Nigeria. So na fear catch am.

Super Eagles will beat him blue and black and Egypt that he was supporting against Nigeria will also beat him to survive.

His punishment is going to be double punishment from the hand of Nigeria and Egypt.

His team will be thrown out of afcon with only that one point they got.

    God bless Nigeria.
