Iwuala Can’t Wait To Get Started At Esperance

Anayo Iwuala is looking forward to a fresh challenge at Tunisian club Esperance Sportive De Tunis, Completesports.com reports.

The winger joined the Blood and Gold on a three-year contract from Nigeria Professional Football League outfit Enyimba this week penning a three-year contract.

The 22-year-old’s transfer comes at the back of a breakthrough season in the NPFL with Enyimba, which has led to five appearances on the international scene with Nigeria.

“It’s a huge privilege to join such a great club like Esperance who have continental titles to show as part of their success story,” Iwuala told BBC Sport Africa.

“It was an easy choice to come to Esperance, they are four times African champions. A big cub with an incredible culture, the professionalism and modern facilities, the welfare, tradition and standard of operation are quite attractive.”

In the last two decades, the North African club served as a launching pad for some notable Nigerians like Garba Lawal, Julius Aghahowa, Obinna Nwaneri and Michael Eneramo, who have all played for the team before sealing moves away from the continent.

Iwuala is determined to follow in their footsteps and move to Europe in future.

“From my position [playing in Nigeria] once I saw a chance here with the club I decided to grab the opportunity,” he insisted.

“I need to focus on the job, helping the team achieve more success and that remains the main priority of every professional footballer.

“I also look forward to working with coach Radhi Jaidi and prove myself under him. That is the immediate target for now.

“I don’t know if coming here will further help me establish myself in the Super Eagles, but I know I will give my best here and that’s all I can do for now.”

I heard he was also Ikpeba’s teamate at USA 94 and can confirm Ikpeba went into USA 94 with just 2 caps. He and all your psuedonames suddenly disappeared immediately I posted the video earlier on showing Ikpeba partnering Yekini in out traditional 2 pronged attack of that era……LMAOOooo

@Yinkus… We are regular customers. As far as we keep the banter away from family members… it’s all good. I shall be waiting for him with results of his fact finding mission on errand to disprove the fact I said Ikpeba only had two caps heading to USA 94 World Cup… he said I was lying and that he has ten (10) caps already as at then… So I have asked him to conduct a detailed research on Victor Ikpeba’s missing caps we don’t know about and report back to the CSN community… we will give him all the time he needs… hahahaha. There is no haste… we are all here and waiting for the elite CSN researcher… Lol.

What also happened to Ikpeba was a winger and understudy to Amunike…? – BUSTED.

        Mission accomplished…!!!

We are waiting for the next round of lies you are going to injure us with on CSN. You’ve suddenly forgotten how to use your psuedonames after being stripped naked….LMAOoooo

@Dr.Drey my friend… the number of documented caps for Victor Ikpeba prior to USA 94 still stands at two… One in Senegal 1992 and one in Tunisia 1994… you have not clarified us on the status of his involvements in friendlies against Sweden and Colombia in preparation for that World Cup in 94, so we wont just add it for Ikpeba yet until you tell us if he played or not… so it’s still just two caps. We are waiting for you to submit your assignment baba… no haste, take all the time you need. Should I order encyclopaedia for you to help in addition to Google and Wikipedia you already have as search Bibles? Hahahaha… You wont ever get a letoff on this one…

          • Dr. Drey 3 years ago

Ofcourse it still stands at 2…..LMAOooo

It was your spirit and that of Tamuno Offialli that played the games vs Georgia, Colombia and Sweden and the remaining matches enroute the world cup…..LMAOOooo

Order the encyclopedia and bibles to help you find out how you can clean up your reputation first…..LMAOoooo.

I just love the way you have stripped yourself naked and exposed yourself these few days. At least CSN now knows what a filthy personality you got.

I know you know you have nothing to loose anymore and hence you are looking for who to drown with…..LMAOoooo

Meanwhile “….I also look forward to working with coach Radhi Jaidi…”

Is this is the same Radhi Jaidi who was a contemporary of our African Guadiolas…?

Already back home coaching in the Tunisian league. He isnt seated in his parlor telling us lies nobody wants to give him jobs because he is black….neither is he settling for some political zero-job-description sports ambassador or special assistant title.

If tomorrow he gets named a Tunisia’s National team coach, we will start comparing an eagle to a butterfly and forcing ourselves to be copy-cats.

    He who has ears…..
