Gabriel Jesus has opened up about his future at newly crowned Premier League champions Arsenal.
Jesus still has one year left on his contract with Arsenal, but there are speculations that he could be shipped out in the summer.
The Brazilian captained the Gunners in their final league fixture against Crystal Palace, where he opened the scoring in the 2-1 win.
Speaking after Mikel Arteta’s side were crowned league champions Jesus, quoted on the X handle of Arsenal News Channel:“A lot is said about my future and I’m very honest. It’s not easy for a player who always wants to evolve and help on the pitch with what’s been happening.
“When I came back, many people thought I would return slowly and take longer. But from the first Champions League match, I came back fully, without fear, and played most of the games.
“It’s not easy mentally. I had resilience while respecting the coach. The future belongs to God. I still have one year left on my Arsenal contract. I want to play and prove to myself that I can still play at a high level.”
“Against Palace I could have scored two or three more goals. That shows me I’m still a player capable of performing at a high level even after such a serious injury.”
