Veteran defender Juanfran has decided to leave Atletico Madrid this summer, according to reports in the Spanish media. The 34-year-old joined Atletico in January 2011 from Osasuna and has gone on to make 354 appearances in all competitions.
However, with his deal at the Wanda Metropolitano set to expire at the end of the season, the Spain international will seek pastures new, according to a report in Spanish newspaper Marca.

It is said that Juanfran was offered a one-year deal but rejected the offer and will leave the capital having won a La Liga title plus two Europa Leagues, two European Super Cups, a Copa del Rey and a Spanish Super Cup.
Despite his advancing years, the man who began his career with Real Madrid can still offer plenty and is sure to be snapped up when the transfer window opens.
