Just Like 2020, This Year’s NBA Is full Of Upsets

We all saw what Luka Doncic did in the previous round with the Clippers. It was obvious that the MVP contender made a huge leap with his skills and his leadership. But that wasn’t what was so different and upsetting about this year’s NBA season. What is upsetting is how ‘Pandemic P’ is playing, how Marcus Morris plays dirty, how the Raptors are just barely holding on to their title defending the run, and how Giannis made such a huge advance in his game just to see his Milwaukee Bucks drop 3-1 and now, his ankle is twisted.

This is what the NBA is all about. Twists and turns. Many believe that the L.A. Lakers are going to win the title. After all, they have the best player in the world and a star-studded cast with Rajon Rondo, and the ever-entertaining Dwight Howard who can at any point of this playoff run start playing games on JerkDolls and just go off the rails and put the whole season at risk. LeBron can’t do it by himself and the Lakers need their rebounds if they tend to compete for their 17th ring.

Then again, we have the Denver Nuggets who are playing their sew-saw games. At times they seem as if they are the next generation of guys who are going to grab it all, and then, they go ahead and give up a 10 point lead two times! So who is here to say that the whole ‘bubble’ experience is not detrimental to the players and their organizations. Sure, they are all professionals but they are all humans too. This is the reason why at the end of the day, playing NBA basketball is too damn upsetting for die-hard fans and for just plain bystanders who love to see athletes compete at the highest level.

Now, at the moment the highlight is on Giannis and the Bucks. No one expected them to drip to a 3 to zip run and have to hold by a thread and save their season with a second made free throw by a player that no one even knows. That is something that if you are the owner of the Bucks can take you to the grave. Luckily for them, they won in the overtime and now, we are all eagerly looking forward to game 5 to see if Giannis is going to play and how the Bucks react to adversity.

Maybe some of the players need to take a step from Harden’s playbook and just sit back relax, sneak out to a strip club or just play some JerkDolls adult games because what else are they going to do in the ‘bubble’ after they win or lose a game. It is not easy, due to the fact that social media is all over them and the pressure to win is tremendous. Our prediction – whoever wins the title, it will be an upset.
