Juventus Chief Rules Out Dybala Exit

Juventus sporting director Fabio Patatici is confident Paulo Dybala won’t be leaving the club before Monday’s transfer deadline. Dybala’s future in Turin has been heavily speculated over the course of the summer and he was a target for Tottenham before the Premier League transfer deadline.

The two clubs were ultimately unable to agree on a fee but that hasn’t stop Dybala being linked with clubs on the continent. He is understood to be frustrated at a lack of regular football with Juventus, having started 24 games in Serie A last season, and Cristiano Ronaldo remains the preferred option with Maurizio Sarri at the helm.

The Argentina international has only earned 14 minutes of action this season, coming off the bench in the 4-3 win against Napoli on Saturday, but it appears he is set to stay put. Italy’s summer transfer window slams shut on Monday with the majority of Europe’s top leagues also unable to do business after the 5pm deadline.

Paratici has eased fears over a potential late exit for the 25-year-old and insists he won’t be going anywhere this summer. “We can absolutely rule out Dybala leaving this summer. We can exclude that as a possibility,” he told Sky in Italy.
