he Portuguese ace picked up the injury during the clash with Bologna and Juve have now revealed the player will undergo tests to determine the severity of the problem.

The club issued a statement saying: “For CR7 there are tests planned on Wednesday and Thursday on a knock to the left ankle that he suffered during the match with Bologna.” Juve will be praying it is nothing serious and will be keen to have him back available for the crucial Champions League encounter against Atletico Madrid.

The Italians trail Atleti 2-0 from the first leg and Ronaldo will be needed if they are to turn the last 16 tie around on home soil. Juve have two Serie A games before then, including a trip to Napoli, but Ronaldo is unlikely to take any risks on the 34-year-old before the Atletico game, with the title pretty much in the bag.
