Juventus Boss Allegri Congratulates Napoli After 5-1 Away Defeat

Juventus coach, Massimiliano Allegri has congratulated Serie A rivals Napoli after his team was defeated by Luciano Spalletti’s side.

The Partenopei annihilated Juventus 5-1 in a Serie A match on Friday, January 13 at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.

Osimhen scored first in the 14th minute and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia increased his side’s lead 25 minutes later.

Angel Di Maria pulled one back in the 42nd minute for Juventus.

Amir Rrahmani made it 3-1 10 minutes after the second half started and in-form striker Osimhen completed his brace in the 65th minute.

Macedonian midfielder Elif Elmas made it 5-1 in the 72nd minute.

In an interview with DAZN, Allegri gave Kudos to the impressive Napoli team.

“First of all, we must congratulate Napoli on their performance,” Allegri said

“We were a little low on energy when dealing with all the goals, were too deep for the opening 20 minutes then conceded the second goal just as we were pushing forward.”

Napoli are currently first in Serie A after accumulating 47 points from 18 games, while Juventus are in third place with 37 points after the same number of games.

Up next for Napoli is a Coppa Italia Round of 16 game with Cremonese on January 17 at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.
