England manager Thomas Tuchel has disclosed that it will difficult to replace Harry Kane once the talismanic striker eventually steps down.
Speaking ahead of England’s UEFA Nations League clash against Croatia, Tuchel highlighted the unique profile of the Bayern Munich star, who recently notched his 87th international goal in a 2-0 win over Czechia.
Kane is closing in on an unprecedented century of goals for the Three Lions, sitting just 13 away from the milestone.

Tuchel stressed that trying to find a direct copy or equivalent replacement for Kane is a waste of time, noting that it could take up to a decade to find a forward with his exact blend of elite finishing, dropping deep to link play, and relentless leadership.
“He is the first one to push everyone and that is his mindset and he became a very, very hardworking forward on top of his finishing skills. He is a complete package.
“We look for different options and solutions. We finished the game with Jude (Bellingham) up front as a number nine.
“There will be someone else, but it will not be Harry or a copy of Harry. We will find a solution when it comes to it but maybe not me. It might be another 10 years.”

During recent matches, Tuchel has already begun looking at alternative tactical setups, including deploying Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham further up the pitch as a makeshift number nine.
While Tuchel praised Bellingham’s natural goalscoring instincts and hunger, he emphasized that England will ultimately need to evolve and find entirely different tactical solutions rather than relying on a traditional like-for-like successor to Kane.
