Keita: Guinea Must Be Aggressive Against Super Eagles

Guinea midfielder Naby Keita says the side must be more aggressive in their next Group B clash against the Super Eagles of Nigeria, reports Completesports.com.

The Syli Nationale were held to a 2-2 draw by debutants Madagascar in their opening game at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt on Saturday.

Keita, who plays for European champions Liverpool was particularly disappointed with his side’s poor defensive play in the game.

”I think we have to play forward and we have to try to play with aggression,” Keita who came on as a second half substitute against the Barea’s told reporters.

”When you score, do not allow that the opposing team equalize because in this kind of tournament, you don’t give the opportunity to the opponent when you lead.”

Paul Put’s men will take on the Super Eagles of Nigeria on Wednesday at the Alexandria Stadium, Alexandria.

The Super Eagles opened their campaign with a 1-0 win against the Swallows of Burundi on Saturday.

The encounter will kick-off at 3.30 pm Nigerian time.

Our goalie needs to be more focus in our next matches, because there are no minnows again in football. We don’t want to be punished at all. Our absence from two editions should be a turn around for AFCON Glory. Super Eagles all the way.

Love watching Naby Keita. Love the way he glides thru the midfield with the ball seemingly glued to his feet. We must not allow him to glide anywhere on Wednesday. Denying him time and space is key. Feel bad for Onuachu. I still believe in the guy. Having said that, Ighalo should start in the center forward position against Guinea. I hope Kalu would have recovered fully by then. Between him, Musa and Onyekuru, we have good options for the left wing position. And I think Ezenwa or Uzoho should take over goalkeeping duties. We need to win the match to seal qualification to the next stage.

Where is Mr. Streams? Your beloved Angola is playing now ooo. They are currently tussling with Tunisia. The Afcon is between Angola and Mauritania. HEHEHEHEHE. I think Mauritania has the edge though 🙂 🙂 🙂
