Kim Hyo-Joo Leads By One In France

Kim Hyo-joo will take a one-shot lead into the final round of the Evian Championship, with her fellow South Koreans dominating the leaderboard. The 24-year-old mixed eight birdies with two bogeys for a six-under par 65 and, on -15, she is one stroke clear of Sung Hyun Park, whose round of 66 included four birdies, one eagle and just one bogey.

Ko Jin-young, 24, and 31-year-old Inbee Park share third place on -11 with rounds of 66 and 69 respectively while Lee Mi-hyang completes the quintet of South Koreans challenging for honours. She is tied for fifth alongside China’s Shanshan Feng, with just 18 holes to go at Evian-les-Bains.

The best-placed European is Sweden’s Caroline Hedwall, with the 30-year-old signing for a 68 to reach -9 while four players – Chella Choi of South Korea, Thailand’s Ariya Jutanugarn plus US duo Megan Khang and Jennifer Kupcho – sit on -8 and have it all to do on Sunday to challenge for the trophy. Bronte Law (-6) heads the English contingent, while compatriots Melissa Reid and Charley Hull are a further three strokes back.
