Ronald Koeman is keen to coach Barcelona at some stage of his career, according to the sporting director of the Dutch Football Federation. Koeman has been in charge of the Oranje since February 2018 and guided them to the final of the inaugural Nations League earlier this year.
The 56-year-old has also coached at clubs such as Ajax, AZ, Valencia, Southampton and Everton during a 20-year managerial career.
The man capped 78 times for the Netherlands during a stellar career made 264 appearances for the Catalans between 1989 and 1995 and it seems as though he is keen to return to the club in the dugout.

Pressure has been growing on current Barca coach Ernesto Valverde although the weekend’s 3-0 win at Eibar saw them move above Real Madrid and to the top of the La Liga standings.
It remains it be seen if the Nou Camp giants would opt for Koeman but the Dutch Football Federation’s sporting director Nico Jan Hoogma has revealed that provision has been made in his contract for that to happen. “Agreements were reached in this regard, but teams would have to pay to do so,” he told Fox Sports.
Koeman is under contact with his current employers until the end of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar but Hoogma confessed that the Zaandam-born tactician has made no secret of his desire to manage the Spanish giants. “Ronald has always indicated that he wants to be a coach at Barcelona one day,” he added. “We’ll see what happens.”
