Kopa Trophy Award : Chukuweze Finishes In Joint Ninth Position

Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukuweze finished in a joint ninth position in the 2019 Kopa Trophy Award, Completesports.com reports.

Ranked in ninth position with Chukwueze is South Korea’s Lee Kang-in.

Juventus and Netherlands defender Matthijs De Ligt picked up the prize designed for talented young players in the world.

Seven other players were nominated for the award.

England winger, Jadon Sancho who plays for German club, Borrussia Dortmund came second with Athletico Madrid’s Joao Felix in third position.

The winner of Kopa Trophy is selected by a panel comprising former winners of the Ballon d’Or, each nominating three players in order of merit from a list of ten youngsters nominated by France Football.
