The Nigerian international, who was making his 23 appearance, has netted three goals and bagged five assists.
Real Betis took a shock lead in the 58th minute through Borja Iglesias’ briliant go.
However, Villarreal leveled parity in the 55th minute through Yeremi Pino’s quality finish.
The draw means Villarreal sit 5th on 38 points while Real Betis sit 5rh on 42nd.
