Super Eagles striker Umar Sadiq was on target as Valencia lost 3-1 to Deportivo La Coruna in Sunday’s La Liga game.
The Nigerian international, who was making his third appearance for Valencia, was outstanding against Deportivo despite their loss.

He netted for the visitor in the 26th minute after Deportivo has scored two quick goals to the delight of the home supporters.
Deportivo started fast and gained a slice of fortune in 13 minutes, when César Tárrega diverted into his own net from a corner.
Four minutes later, Aubameyang doubled the lead, sprinting through from a Mario Soriano pass and finishing with his left on a fast break.
However, Valencia found a response in the 26th minute through Umar Sadiq, who tucked away a right-footed chance from close range. The visitors went in 2-1 down at half-time, still very much alive.

After the restart, another own goal hurt them again, this time from Mouctar Diakhaby in the 59th minute after pressure inside the box. From there, Deportivo managed the game, absorbed territory, and guarded their area well.
The closing stages brought a flurry of fouls and stoppages as Deportivo protected the margin.
