Lakers Hit By Ball Blow

Los Angeles Lakers have been hit by the news they will have to do without point guard Lonzo Ball for up to six weeks.

Ball was injured during Saturday night’s 138-134 overtime loss to the Houston Rockets and scans have now revealed the player has suffered a Grade 3 sprain in his left ankle.

The Lakers star began a drive against Rockets forward James Ennis during the third quarter but fell to the floor in great pain before being carried to the changing rooms by teammates Lance Stephenson and Michael Beasley.

This injury to Ball is the latest setback for the Lakers, who already have forward LeBron James (groin) and point guard Rajon Rondo (finger) out on the sidelines ahead of Monday’s encounter with the reigning champions, Golden State Warriors.
