Akor Adams continued his fine scoring form as Sevilla came from two goals down to defeat Villarreal 3-2 at the Estadio de la Cerámica on Wednesday night.
The Nigeria international has now scored in back-to-back games for the Rojiblancos, having also netted the winner in last weekend’s 2-1 victory over Espanyol.
Villarreal made a bright start, with Gerard Moreno opening the scoring in the 13th minute, before Georges Mikautadze doubled the lead seven minutes later.
Sevilla began their comeback through Oso, who pulled one back in the 36th minute, while Kike Salas restored parity deep into first-half stoppage time.

Adams then completed the turnaround with the decisive goal 18 minutes from time.
The 26-year-old has now recorded 10 goals and three assists in 30 league appearances for Luis Garcia Plaza’s side this season.
The striker was replaced by Andres Castrin four minutes from the end.
His international teammate Chidera Ejuke remained an unused substitute for Sevilla.

Adams goal against Villarreal was world class! It was a cheat!Akor is gradually building a reputation as one of the best strikers in Laliga…
@Greenturf one of the best strikers in La Liga you say?
I am not sure you are aware that Adams was a starting player at Sevilla, and is now coming of the bench, we canot say it is because of AFCON he lost his place because after AFCON he was thrown straight back into the starting 11 at Sevilla. the last few games he is being used as a substitute because his performances dropped due to a dry run of goals. The Sevilla game was his first start since ending of February, based on this you cannot boldly claim he is one of the best strikers in La Liga that is wrong. One of the top strikers in LA Liga would be Top 5 not sitting on 16 in the goals standing.
Just my honest take!!! without being biased
I said he’s “gradually building a reputation to be one of the best”!
I follow football,I am aware of his circumstances in Spain. That notwithstanding, his influence in the last few weeks, whether as a starter or coming in from the bench has helped his club to shoot just above the mid-table,from within a relegation zone, which is a great achievement…
