Lampard Warns Abraham, Tomori  Against Complacency  After England Call-up

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has told  Tammy Abraham and Fikayo Tomori  that they must raise their game even more and not rest on their oars after earning call-up to the England team.

Abraham and Tomori  have enjoyed excellent season so far with the Blues, earning recognition from Gareth Southgate in the latest England squad for this month’s internationals.

Lampard, a former England midfielder, is thrilled to see the pair get international  recognition, but he does not want them to lose focus on their Chelsea form.

“I spoke to them before, I was aware of the call-up coming,” Lampard explained at his pre-match press conference on Friday.

‘They’ve got big smiles on their faces today, the three of them – plus Ross [Barkley]. Ross has been there obviously a while.

“But they’re very smiley and happy and I might have to remind them, come Sunday [Southampton vs Chelsea], they need to perform for us. Because it’s great news for them, it’s great news, but as I keep saying, it’s just the start.”

Of course, we all know, yet you were lying you didn’t speak to them and that you left them to make up their own decisions. You even spoke to Southgate about cap-tying them to England. English managers always have a way of sending subtle threats in these kinds of situations by hinting the player may be dropped from the first team if they don’t play ball. So to save their career and living, the boys budge. Thank God Moses, Iwobi and Aina then did not have English managers, otherwise switching to their fatherland would have been difficult.

But then, it is past now. Nigeria and the SE have moved on with our legion of new talents. Thank God Arsenal does not have an English manager to apply pressure on Saka. Now is the time to start speaking to the dude. Perhaps he could be called up for the U23 team asap.

A hint has been given on how early they’d be dropped to the bench and eventually thrown out of the team in due course of time, not very long though. I’m just so sorry for those boys. Whites especially British people are very cunning people. Their actions are very codedly embedded in their words,
messages and body language. Only people who are smart enough would be able to determine there nxt line of action. Both of them would be capped tied and that would be the end of their international football career. Too bad.

Well all I can say is this now is the time to look elder. There are other great players who are hungry to play for the SE. Bukola Saka should be looked into now . Because we need his skill and speed. Sam chukwueze,Ademola Look man Sam Kalu even Henry. Onyekeru are great talents we’ve got at the moment . Let’s get Saka now
Let’s also look for Dwnerby( Belgian – Nigerian)
We’ve got players in the u 23 as well. One way or the other SE will become stronger

  • News about Tammy and tomori is no more Nigerian news, complete sport should take note, sadiq umar is capable replacement of abraham and semi for tomori

As Kel and Oakfield mentioned, the boys had very little choice in this matter. Choosing Nigeria over England would very likely have resulted in the end of first team football at Chelsea for them. The only reason Tammy for instance, is benching Giroud and Batshuayi, is his his status as an English boy. Once that status no longer holds, back to the bench he goes, and then out on loan and out of the club eventually. Look at what happened to Iwobi at Arsenal. Once the golden boy and future of the club, Iwobi got marginalized after choosing Nigeria. His survival in the club for so long, before Everton acquired his services, was down to his incredible talent, and the protection of non English managers who valued him – Arsene Wenger, and his successor, Unai Emery. So, in the case of Tammy and Fikayo, they needed to take a decision that would protect their daily bread. And that is exactly what they did.

So, instead of all these talk about Tammy Abraham and Fikayo Tomori, we need news about what is being done to get BUKAYO SAKA and SEYI OJO on board! What is causing the delay, especially as both boys have come out recently to declare their desire to play for Nigeria?

  • What is really happening? These duo have been converted into superstars by CSN. Are we to suspect that there are pecuniary reasons fueling the unrelenting publicity? As @Pompei rightly said, there are other players, equally talented, who are ready to honour our call. Why can’t we get stories about them? Are we celebrating renegades?

CSN should spare us the suffocating news about them. We wish them well. No man, even a dictator, is greater than his country. Let us move on and celebrate those who are committed to donning the colours of the fatherland.

  • CSN tell me about Sadiq Umar, Bukola Saka, Ademola lookman, seyi Ojo, Chuba Akpom and this Manchester City guy that is now coming back to his senses Adaribioyo and stop disturbing us with lost children with no international future, they removed a Nigerian (Delle Alli) to cap tie another Nigeria England are still colonizing Nigeria.

  • What da heck is wrong with our nff technical department and rhor who keeps telling us it takes forever to do the paperwork for change of allegiance when actually it takes two to six months except of course without the consent of the player… then it’ll take longer

No cause for alarm. We have enough talents. Where is ibe, agbolahon, onuoha etc today

  • Please enough of this first team play or english manager. With due respect europeans expecially english or germans doesnt dictate for anybody and they also dont hate people who doesnt offends them directly. Italians or portugis other coaches might be guilty of that but not an english coach. Abraham is a big foolish gorilla and that will be is nickname in the nearest future. Tomori was never aproached so i forgive him. Why are u nigerians so quick to justify nonesense. Whether black or white ur first choice should be your origin it is football. These are the kind of black monkeys that accomplished the british to conquer the great Benin Empire. Betrayers. Some of u think these guys where adopted by english parents. Hell No they are fools. In england nigerians are verry well known and anynigerian can not pretend to be black british even with british passport you are a nigerian. Idiots that will be forgoten soon. For first team chances that depends on how u play. Drogba. Essien. Babayaro. Kalou. Even moses. All enjoy first team play. And lampard is not the owner of chelsea abrahimovic is a verry vigilant patron onlike nff. He will kick out lampard without rethinking if there is any foul plat

  • Who says they dropped players for them? English FA/Manager released 25 Man Squad for two matches which shows if they are to reduce it to Normal(23), Guess who leave….
