League Cup: Balogun, Success Target First Starts; Etebo’s Stoke Face Leeds

Nigeria defender, Leon Balogun and forward, Isaac Success, will look to make their first start of the campaign for their respective clubs in today’s (Tuesday) English League Cup games, reports Completesports.com.

Balogun’s Brighton & Hove Albion will face Sky Bet Championship club, Bristol Rovers at the Memorial Stadium, Bristol.

The centre-back is yet to make an appearance for the Seagulls this season and will look to get back into reckoning at the club in this League Cup tie.

Balogun had only eight league appearances for Brighton last season.

At the Vicarage Road, Watford will take on Coventry City with Success expected to be in the starting lineup.

Success has failed to make the bench in the Hornets’ last two games though he made an appearance from the bench on the opening day of the season against Brighton.

In another League Cup fixture, Oghenekaro Etebo and his Stoke City teammates will travel to Elland Road where they will be guests of Leeds United.

Stoke City defeated Wigan Athletic in the first round with Etebo replacing Sam Clucas in the 70th of the game.

The Potters have won only once in six games in all competitions and a defeat in this tie could further put more pressure on manager Nathan Jones.
