Leicester City Boss Smith Provides Injury Update On Iheanacho

Kelechi Iheanacho could be set for a spell on the sidelines after sustaining an injury in Leicester City’s Premier League clash against Leeds United on Tuesday night.

The Nigeria international was instrumental in the Foxes 1-1 draw at the Elland Road.

Despite picking a knock, Iheanacho helped create the goal which led to the equalising goal scored by Jamie Vardy 10 minutes from time.

The 26-year-old was replaced by Dennis Praet afterwards.

Leicester City manager, Dean Smith provided a scary update on the player after the game.

“It’s too soon. He felt his groin and it didn’t look great, so we’ll have to wait until we get a scan on it,” Smith told LCTV.

Iheanacho has scored five goals in 26 league appearances for Leicester City this season.

Smith’s side will be up against Everton in their next Premier League game.
