Moses Simon was in action as Paris FC extended their unbeaten start to the Ligue 1 season with a hard-fought 0-0 home draw against Lyon.
Simon came on with 11 minutes left and helped Paris FC record their second draw (two wins, no defeat) in the French topflight so far this season.
Liam Rosenior’s Paris FC controlled more of the ball (56% possession) and created the clearer openings, finishing with six shots (four on target) to Lyon’s five (one on target).
The best chance of the match came early in the second half. Luca Koleosho accelerated past Zachary Athekame and into the box; his right-footed effort skimmed just wide of Greif’s post.
Paris FC also appealed for a penalty after contact involving captains Pierre Lees-Melou and Corentin Tolisso, but referee Jérôme Brisard waved play on and did not consult VAR.
Lyon stayed compact and dangerous on the break and late on they claimed a handball against Lees-Melou, but VAR confirmed no penalty.
Following the draw, Paris FC are placed third on eight points while Lyon, also on eight points, are in fourth spot.
