Lille Boss Galtier: Osimhen Stranded In Nigeria

Lille manager  Christophe Galtier says Victor Osimhen is yet to return to the club for pre-season training as he is still holed up in Nigeria due to travel restrictions, reports Completesports.com.

Osimhen was granted compassionate leave by the club to attend his father’s funeral early this week.

The 21-year-old was expected to rejoin his team-mates on Friday but could not secure a flight to France.

“No, he did not come back from
Nigeria.
He was suppose to arrive today . But he was blocked by the health crisis because the
borders are closed,” Galtier told a news conference on Friday.

Osimhen is expected to leave Lille this summer with a number of European big guns interested in him.

The young forward scored 18 goals and recorded six assists in 31 appearances for the Great Danes last season.
