  • Proudly 9ja 3 years ago

Guys mek we dey think God for our players ooo. Anybody wen se we nor get team mek dem watch Ghana vs sudan or Cameroon vs Mozambique, our boys better pass the players from virtually all these countries I swear. Talent for talent as well as team play. Dem fit dey more physical than us ooo but in terms of skill and playing abeg we better pass most countries imho. See the nonsense wen cameroon play yesterday or the eyesore wen I dey watch between Ghana and sudan. Like they say a prophet is never honored in his home town.

Also these African referees no send ooo, see tackles wen go break leg, referee go just se continue, some with studs up. If na European eeferees d kind red cards wen plenty players for don collect eh. CAF also needs to step up dia game in terms of stadia standard. Tge standard for all CAF AFCON qualifiers should be the pitch in Algeria, Egypt, or Morrico not some of the crap we have been seeing some games played on. See the stadium for casablanca it was watered b4 the game like its done b4 any EPL game with better automated water sprinkler system.
Sudan just scored Ghana @90 min. Sudan just beat ghana. This ghana team no be am at all. The friendly against Mali expose them even tho they won Qatar 5:1, they aren’t a good side same with cameroon. Although both teams are still a powerhouse like 9ja in Africa.

  • Glover 3 years ago

Why he still akpoguma for RB again na which kind coach be dis na

  • Lord AMO 3 years ago

The enthusiasm is at a low ebb but we must support the boys with positive vibes.  After the match we can dissect the performance however we like.  Let’s go Super Eagles!

  • Empire 3 years ago

    Matches played already today:

    Sudan 1: Ghana 0
    Lesotho 0: Benin: 0
    Madagascar 1: Ivory Coast: 1

  • Why no team list up till now?

  • With less men to do the job I doubt Rhor can win this match.
One thing is certain even if they loose 10:0 Rhor is going NO where.

I do not know how in the world Yobo is selected over Amuneke, Yobo is lacks any experience whatsoever as a coach.
Yobo was a defender but had nothing tho offer to save the collapse of the SE defense in Benin.

When they decided to keep Right, why not bring attacking coaches like Amuneke and Manu Garba?

Next level of backwardness and decay.
    What a joke of country!!!!.

  • Empire 3 years ago

    Our lineup:

‪Okoye, akpoguma, Balogun, ekong, Aina, Etebo, Iwobi, Aribo, Chukwueze, Kelechi and musa ‬

    • What is Akpoguma doing at RB again? Abeg who do this yeye coach this thing?

  • Nigeria is not winning this match. Play play, na draw.

  • TeamNews 3 years ago

    My people my people,

Na the SAME lineup wey Rohr use start the Benin fixture, na dem go start this one oo.

Player by player, all complete… including Okoye in goal LOL

I’ve seen the squad list already, no need typing them here, just know that the same faces you saw in the first leg are the same you’ll see starting this evening….Odabo LOL

  • Dr Drey 3 years ago

Hahahaha…prophets of ddom have come. I hope y’all will still be able to talk after the match today

  • Sunnyb 3 years ago

Rohr’s only making two changes to the starting lineup according to one unreliable site. Aina and iheanacho replacing injured Osimhen and Aina replacing Zaidu. This’s going to be a very physical match, fitness, tactics and hustle will determine the outcome of today’s encounter. I hope the coach will get his tactics right today. Iheanacho and Onuachu can’t trouble opposing defenders like Osimhen. Kayode and olayinka would’ve been useful today, trust me guys, those two guys will run for 90 minutes, hopefully iheanacho would deliver for us today.

    • Dr Drey 3 years ago

One unreliable site, yet one day will not pass without you reading from the unreliable site. LMAO. So the changes in lineup wey the “unreliable site” report and the lineup @Empire just gave up there, any difference….??? LMAO

      • Ayphillydegreat 3 years ago

We know there type talking from both sides of the mouth. Though Sunnyb is a patriotic fan, but you can there are few sentiments. Lmao!!! Dr Drey you get my drift?

  • Dr Drey 3 years ago

SE…..it winning this game hands down. Nor be by gragra. According to Amokachi….Unless the players are not Nigerians.
We went to Zambia…we beat them
We went to Zameroon….they needed a penalty to snatch a draw
We went to Algiers…..referee manufactured a penalty for them too
    We went to Sychelles…nak them……Libya…..nak them…..Johanessburg…referee cancel 2 clear goals. Lesotho….nak them.
Unless Sierra leaone better pass all these countries wey we dont nak for their homes naim we nor go win today….!

    • JimmyBall 3 years ago

@Dr.Drey… You did not apologize to this forum after the BENIN BLIGHT last four days and here you started by making an Utopian claim again even before kickoff. We will forgive you again… I hope seeing what African Football is about now… the Sierra Leonians have thought you to respect footballers all who even may not be playing across the Mediterranean now? Please be a good boy with fair comparisons for our players now whether homebased or foreign based… African football no be European football. It’s on record now that we could not best Sierra Leone in two legs… One love!

  • KING TUOYO 3 years ago

What a joke of a line up. It seems the Coach has nothing left to achieve or do with the team.

From the lineup, I don’t see how we can win the match if am to be frank to myself. The gaffer keeps on repeating same error every now and then.

What is Akpoguma doing at the right back again? Or are we playing 3-4-3 formation?

From the last match played in Benin, I have developed this sudden unease with Coach Rohr and the Super Eagles. I have to say here that I have lost total confidence and trust on my beloved Super Eagles.

    Goodluck Nigeria.

  • Emmanuel 3 years ago

Dr Drey, pls ooo don’t forget to send the link ooo.I still love this Nation.

  • FrankL 3 years ago

    Dr drey… please link

  • Jones 3 years ago

I don’t know guys but I feel like Rohr promised Akpoguma regular regular playing time if he switches nationality because I don’t see why Rohr is being stubborn with this Akpoguma guy…I love and respect what Rohr has done for the eagles I just don’t like some his tactics hopefully he would prove the haters wrong today….if Apkoguma must play then use a back 3

    • Chris 3 years ago

3 back, 5 midfield, 2 forward. ..3:5:2 that can switch to 5:3:2 when defending and 3:4:3 when attacking. This is what you will see. It’s left for the players to do the needful.

  • Why on earth will you approve a stadium like this…this is absolutely rubbish..how do you expect a team to perform here..even Brazil will not score on this pitch…

  • Vitalis 3 years ago

How on earth did CAF approve this stadium for International match?

    This is an eyesore!!

  • Proudly 9ja 3 years ago

SE see wetin una cause? we are now forced to watch dis crap. Na 2 screens we dey watch ooo. Chai wonders shall never end. Still 0:0

  • Lord AMO 3 years ago

Anyways, from the limited view its still clear that the sierra leonians are launching their attacks down their left.  Our boys are struggling to cope with the pitch as we cant string together more than two decent passes

  • Lord AMO 3 years ago

E be like say di stadium catch malaria and covid jam

  • Aleks 3 years ago

This pitch is the worst I’ve seen utilised for an international match. How can football improve in Africa when CAF keeps approving this kind of pitch for matches. It’s quite a torture watching this game.
That said, our boys need to step up and take control of this game. So far we’re playing catch up.

  • Sunnyb 3 years ago

Etebo is out, this’s bad ooo

  • Lord AMO 3 years ago

Etebo is injured.  He was the only midfielder that looked like he was coping with the pitch too!  Shehu on for him

  • Kenneth 3 years ago

Na wa o, in this day and age, we can’t watch quality match. na wa o, see has i dey strain my eyes to watch good football. Abeg make una tell me scores. Let me watch my Togo and Egypt match. At least i can watch on HD

    • Sunnyb 3 years ago

@Proudly 9ja, a very grueling and physical encounter as we predicted, battle of midfield, the SL are using there wings very effectively especially the left side. The second half would be more physical and technical, the SL are clearly playing to instructions by the denying us spaces, what would be Rohr’s game plan in this second half, go for a win or a draw. Can Musa, Iwobi, aribo, iheanacho last 90 minutes against these Dogo Argentinos, who do we bring in.

  • Proudly 9ja 3 years ago

Etebo is hurt, tge 1st casualty for 9ja.

  • Dr Drey 3 years ago

CAF is the most stupid….infact stupidest organization I’ve ever seen in my life….and I have no apologies for sayin that. This match has been played more in the air so far than on the ground. Football turned volley ball played with legs.
Anyway we dey manage sha. Still 0:0.
S/L huffing and puffing by Nig not giving them as much space as they had in the last 25 mins in Benin.
Stray shots from both sides not threatening either GK yet.
Okoye just made a save from a corner kick.

  • Dr Drey 3 years ago

Even colleges have better stadia and pitches in other parts of the world……Eyiiii….Africa my Africa

  • Footballfanatic 3 years ago

Commentators are funny lol. They said the Nigerian FA boss disrespected them by saying he expects nothing less than 4 unrealized goals lol.

  • Dr Drey 3 years ago

Ball cleared off the line by S/L…….!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • caf na disgrace

  • Dr Drey 3 years ago

Hehehehehehe…..I just checked the results of S/L in their last 4-5 qualifying series…..they seem to score more away from home than even on their own turf…..LMAO. As the pitch dey affect us naim e dey affect them too….LMAO. Abeg Pinnick and Dare should come in by 2nd half. They are more used to pitches like these.

    • Proudly 9ja 3 years ago

@Drey, no kill me with laff. Pinnick for come score 4 unreplied goals na with him pot belly. That Iheanacho chance, Pinnick or Dare for convert that chance

  • Chairmanfemi 3 years ago

    First half over.

To start with, am very disappointed in CAF and Sierra Leone as a Nation. Is that what you call your NATIONAL STADIUM?? That’s a crazy pitch there.

So bad Etebo is off. He matched the Sierra Leone guys strength to strength. Abdulahi came on and hasn’t done bad. But Coach Rohr needs to learn to invite Good Midfielders aplenty in other games and not pack Defenders. We can see we’re suffering from that now. As for the Overall play, The pitch shouldn’t be an excuse. After all, we are Africans. We adapt wherever and whenever. I remember when we went to Seychelles, it was like they put Charcoal under the Grass. If you kick a ball up, Na black dust dey follow am.. lol. Yet we won 3-0 and played convincingly. We haven’t pressed this guys at all. Instead, they’ve been the one pressing in. Every ball forward for them as been a threat and am yet to see a threat by the Super Eagles… So bad. Not in this kinda match where we expected a revenge mission. Anyways, let’s see what the Second half holds.. hmmm! Ihenacho should please be subbed off for Dennis if possible… Total waste of space. Oga Iwobi should please time his passing. Good game so far for Aina, Chukwueze, Akpoguma, Leon and Troost.

    • Dr Drey 3 years ago

Seychelles pitch is artificial turf…..its smooth and allows for free flowing soccer. The only draw back is that artificial pitches have very low damping factor and hence absorb shock and impacts less, hence causing ankle and knee injuries to players not used to them. This freetown pitch looks more like a millet farm

      • Chairmanfemi 3 years ago

Still upon Still my brother Drey! Bad pitch or whatsoever shouldn’t be an excuse with all the names wey we carry for head and quality in that team.

Take a look at Senegal. Check their group opponent en-route the Last AFCON and this AFCON qualifiers ongoing… Upcoming footballing countries with poor pitch. I even watched one I think against Guinea-Bissau, they used Rope to demarcate the Field and fans stood behind the Rope.. like our local Village square football pitch yet MANÉ and the likes played there and won convincingly. Look at them now, they’ve also qualified unbeaten so far. Tactically, we are not there as a team. The Coach needs to step up or step down or they get him a Good Assistant. The boys can’t even string one-two passes correctly and the fast ball we were known for was not there today. All I saw today was Back-pass, few shots on goal, defending and defending, Defenders coming instead of Attackers, Late substitution of Nacho. Disappointed!

        • Dr Drey 3 years ago

Hahahahaha….na on top this pitch you wan sting 1-2 passes together abi. LMAO. Congratulations, I wish you all the best. Even S/L wey own the pitch…..how many times did you see them string 1-2 passes together in this game…? LMAO.

  • Palmer 3 years ago

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qYN5NQiw404

This is the link to the SAO TOME vs SOUTH AFRICAN yesterday, guys kindly compare the quality of the match to the one played in Benin last week and this one gong on in SIERRA LOENE, this is just pure madness.
Even Sao Tome can play in World Standard Stadium, and we do is give the hosting right to the highest bidding governor, the next you will see is Eagles playing qualifying match in Zamfara.

    Rubbish

    • Dr Banks 3 years ago

The match was played in Port Elizabeth Stadium in South Africa, one of the World Cup 2010 Stadium. SAFA reached agreement with Sao Tome FA to play their home matches in SA because they don’t have a CAF approved stadium in Sao Tome

  • Greenturf 3 years ago

Football cannot be played on that pitch. No way!it beats my imagination how a country can boast of this farmland as a stadium.Only Sierra Leone can play on that turf.

I shall be astonished we able to squeeze out a win which looks unlikely because of the condition of the pitch.

Henceforth,CAF should carefully examine stadia across Africa to get fair results in games because any good side can only wish for a draw on a pitch like this. This is an embarrassment!

  • Dr Drey 3 years ago

Another goalline clearance by the S/L….!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • KangA 3 years ago

CAF is a huge disgrace. This grassless pitch ….I am short of words.

  • Dr Drey 3 years ago

Iheanachooooooooooooooooooo……JESUS how did he miss that….??????

  • Ikeben 3 years ago

See the unbelieveable miss of Iheanacho. That is terrible

  • Dr Drey 3 years ago

The SE stepping up their game now. 2 goal line clearances by the S/L and a shocking miss by Iheanacho so far, the highlight of their game.

  • pompei 3 years ago

This pitch is our biggest obstacle today. Even Bayern Munich can’t do nothing on this pitch.

  • Lord AMO 3 years ago

I really don’t want to talk down on any player today because that pitch is beyond abysmal but kelechi has been terrible today and he just missed the best chance of the day after a fine run by Samu

  • Dr Drey 3 years ago

These S/L dont have any meaningful tactics. The SE should just make sure the wings are convered and watch out for long crosses into box. So far Akpoguma and Aina are doing a good job with respect to that.
S/L making their own 1st sub. Mustapha Bundu the 4th goal scorer in Benin on for Rodney Strasser

  • Sunnyb 3 years ago

Do we still continue to play Aribo in this game, the boy is ready for this kind of pitch or game, rohr pls remove aribo before is too late.

    Refffffffffffffffffffff…..????

    • Ikeben 3 years ago

I wonder o. It seems like a clear goal by kelechi to atone for his miss. I see our goal comming soon

  • Collins id 3 years ago

why d ref disallowed that goal na

  • Dr Drey 3 years ago

    Over the bar…………!!!!!
Not much luck for Iwobi there

  • Dr Drey 3 years ago

The SE seems to have upped the ante….trying to manage the pitch as e be…..Lolz

  • Omo9ja 3 years ago

Good luck Super Eagles. God bless Nigeria!!!

  • Dr Drey 3 years ago

Ahmed Musa seriously para-ing for the ref.
The guy jus dey blow nonsense since, trying to frustrate all our moves

  • Dr Drey 3 years ago

Kei Kamara has won ALL his Aerial battles today. How I wish we can say same of Onuachu if he comes on.

  • Dr Drey 3 years ago

Awaziem on for Akpoguma. Akpoguma limps out of play.

Welcome to Africa Akpos. Here nor be Europe wey una pitch be like waterbed…..LMAO

  • Dr Drey 3 years ago

Alhassan Kamara on for Alhaji Kamara. S/L make their 3rd sub

  • Dr Drey 3 years ago

    Iheanachoooooooooooooo………..!!!

    • Dr Drey 3 years ago

Keeper don break iheanacho head o….!!!
Both keeper and player down, but up now after some medical attention.

  • Africa is in trouble

  • Dr Drey 3 years ago

    80 mins now……and its S/L 0:0 Nig.
Any goal now is a winner….! But I dont see S/L scoring. We have clipped them on the wings and we are cutting off all crosses to the centre. Lets hope we can MANAGE and nik a goal now.
But this pitch is a disgrace…..and CAF is the bigger disgrace………!!!

Iheanachooooooooo……..draws an acrobatic save from the S/L keeper

  • Dr Drey 3 years ago

Onuachu and Ejuke being readied for Substitution……!!!

    • Dr Drey 3 years ago

Sorry…..Dennis on for NAcho, Semi Ajayi on for Aribo

      Welcome to Africa boys…..!!!

  • Dr Drey 3 years ago

    Ola Aina down….!
Make e lydown dia kill time small.

    90 mins gone…..still 0:0

3 minutes injury time to play

  • Dr Drey 3 years ago

S/L haggling for a last minute goal now…..2 consecutive corners in the 92nd minute…….both cleared by the Nigerian Defence.

  • Collins id 3 years ago

pteuuuuuuuuu rubbish pitch and a stupid reff. very boring. West Africa is a mess. especially the English speaking countries. I too know nor let their country better

    • Dr Drey 3 years ago

Blame it on slave trade and colonialism as usual……LMAO

  • Dr Drey 3 years ago

    Full time

    S/L 0:0 Nig

    • Dr Drey 3 years ago

Great game by the SE today……The SE come out unscathed. A few half chances for the S/L but in truth Okoye had little to do today. On the other hand, the S/L keeper would probably win the MOTM award for this game.

This Ref has to explain HOW ON EARTH IHEANACHO’S GOAL WAS OFFSIDE…..!!!

  • chuks haifa 3 years ago

    poor game by the eagles.

    • Footballfanatic 3 years ago

Bro the pitch was horrendous… I can’t even blame anyone. Even Akpogunma tried.

  • They could make a valid excuse about the farmland they played on, but I’m still not convinced about Rohr.

Poor pitch, poor ref that didn’t allow SE play. I thought Ahmad would do better than that shady Hayoutou.

  • Dr Dre how far? She ur Rohr win the match? Ur type is part of the reasons our football is going backwards every day. You’re never sincere in ur analysis.

    • Dr Drey 3 years ago

You wey sincere where ur sincerity don carry your miserable life reach. LMAO.

Your football is going backwards to 70th position where your african guadiola leave am abi.

We are still topping our group and will still qaulify with a game to spare…..not qaulifying at all 3 times out of 4 if moving forward……you are truly sincere my brother….infact them suppose change your name to Sincerity

      • Lol. U know ur life is a piece of shit. Retarded low IQ dotard. Go and lick Rohr’s ass. Keyboard Servant. Abeg no cry again. Hahahahah.

        • Dr Drey 3 years ago

Hahahaha….as shitty as my life is, your entire clan wakes up every morning to pray for you that your life can be half as good as mine. We are topping our group and have technically put one leg in cameroon……who looks like the mourner between the 2 of us….LMAO.

It is you and your fellow imbeciles that is wailing here over the progress of our beloved SE. Na me go beg you make you nor go vex jump inside well bcos we have once again made it without calculators and with games in hand.

Sorry ehn…..you have failed once again….LMAO. Go buy okpa chop…..LMAO

        • paul you know the shame, how did you access the game. you just want write

  • pompei 3 years ago

How can one assess a match with the poor tv broadcast, on an eyesore of a pitch?
    Awful stuff.

  • Chairmanfemi 3 years ago

So now Nigeria can’t beat 120 placed Sierra Leone home and away! Yet we claim we want to qualify for World Cup and win AFCON. God help us.

    • Dr Drey 3 years ago

We lost in this same stadium in 2001 with a far better and more illustrious team and still qualified for 2002 WC. So what exactly is your point…???

      • Footballfanatic 3 years ago

Solid reply lol e never start to dey watch football then lol

  • OmoGold 3 years ago

Honestly speaking if Eagles cannot beat Sierra Leone, the coach should go and we should get a local coach in likes of Amuneke to lead the team. We ought to beat SL with the squad we have home and away. Sack the coach now!!!!

    • You watch the match? You see that pitch? Even Brazil no go score for that pitch..bros..

  • That pitch was so terrible I no fit even lay blame to anybody sef

  • AbdulA 3 years ago

I think its unfair to use the results from this match to castigate Rohr. That pasture yard is nothing close to standard football pitch. No tactics would work on that yard. Good, they were able to hold on to their on to have not conceeded. We should give that guy some more matches to convince us. He really needs to win back our trust, otherwise, we will come so hard on him.

  • pompei 3 years ago

Even Bayern Munich can’t beat S/L on that pitch. I don’t fault Rohr and the players for the result on that awful mess of a pitch. My problem with our team is how they contrived to throw away a 4 goal lead in Benin.
It’s a long shot, but NFF should try lodging a complaint with CAF regarding the terrible state of the pitch. If we succeed, CAF just might award us the 3 points. Not an ideal way to win a match, but I really feel S/L should suffer some kind of punishment for hosting the game on such a terrible surface.

    • Dr Drey 3 years ago

For this our Africa….??? Caf go award 3 points for bad pitch….? Even when we played on a sandy pitch in windheok in the early 2000s nobody die…..LMAO
      @Pompei wake up…!

      • pompei 3 years ago

That’s why I said it’s a long shot. But we should still try….we’ve got nothing to lose.
Maybe our complaint can be the beginning of something good in this our dear continent. Countries that can’t provide presentable pitches for matches need to be punished in some way!

        • Lord AMO 3 years ago

Bros what we need are some leaders amongst our African players to step up and demand better.  They are all too passive for my liking.  If say Salah, Mane, Musa, and some other established names begin to complain publicly about this sort of shambolic facilities provided for them, perhaps change might be forced.  I can’t imagine liverpool, arsenal, napoli, villareal and other top clubs, would be too pleased with having their investments being made to go out on those minefields for 90 minutes.  This has to change all across the continent and I would like to see and hear the players step up

How was Iheancho’s goal an offside? These African referees no go kill person. This CAF, see wetin dem say mek person cone play on. This wan worse pass playing for concrete. The boys tried but they should have finished the job in the 1st leg. Not sure based on the video if we can really comment on this game. The video was poor and the stadium was crap. I nor fit shout oo. The way we played today was how we should have ended the 1st leg in Benin city. I don die for disgrace, the commentator kon dey say 9ja was hoping for a draw even tho 9ja outplay them for dia nonsense field. Our boys tried to play the passing game but the field no just gree. Ekong again with those long balls to nobody or to opponent or just to throw in. Anyway we have 8pts, Benin Rep 7, Sl 3 and Lesotho 1. We can say that we have qualified as we need only 1 point. Considering we have to play Benin Rep and Lesotho. Benin Rep needs to also play SL for this dia maracana stadium, e nor go easy for Benin Rep ooo since they know they need a positive result from dia 2 remaining games. SL will likely beat Lesotho if they play in this Wembley stadium lol. Good game boys but 9ja still dey vex oooo

I think the commentator said it was iwobi that was offside before he delivered the cross.  Of course we couldn’t see since the camera didn’t show us.  Today i really shed a tear for us Africans.  We are just sub-standard in our approach to simple things.  Today was a disgrace to all of us

  • End of match
    Scoreless draw!
Nff, Rohr and super eagles players thank you for doing this to us.
We will continue to remember your lackadaisical attitudes that fetched us this memorable results both home and away.

Thank God the players survived this jungle pitch.

it is a shame. our only goal was disallowed for iheanacho foolishness. if truly was an offside iheanacho had enough time to play himself in he was busy waiting carelessly like he forgot the rules, premierleague my foot, 36 years old camara of an unknown club, posed more threat than our Leicester romario. I said earlier on, say that guy na scam he have nothing to offer. always need lucks to perform. no class. not worthy. we need another emenike in this team and that for me is Dike to give us something similar to osihmen. mean while abdulahi is a better midfielder than Etebo. his coming in really changed our game. iwobi is indeed a lion, aribo was amazing aswell. The team did well in the second half

Hehehehehe…Wetin Kamara play other than using his height to win aerial balls. How many balls e play wey keeper catch. If nor for Naco wey dey troway our chances. Meanwhile I thought Shehu Abdullahi has no business in the SE anymore.

I’m sorry o bro, but saying this about Kelechi Iheanacho rather says a lot about you.

SL were just playing dirty! their plan is to take out our best through calculated fouls. first was osimhen (checked) , next balogun (failed), next etebo (checked), next on line was be iwobi or samuel (but God will fail their plan). see how our players are complaining to the referee! bad pitch, bad viewing, bad officiating, bad football, bad caf administration, what else am I missing?!
the match is boring. the commentator is terrible. an average Nigeria football lover would do better. I can’t even give any analysis for this match. the link I use displayed one of the worst football view I’ve seen in my life, come on this is 2020! though Iheanacho started picking up during the match, even iwobi showed energy and musa tried to take on the ref. this is embarrassing. imagine what the boys will tell their teammates when they return back to Europe.

African shame and disgrace is all i have to say.  Throughout the match i was just praying that none of our boys would get seriously injured.  I wasn’t even concerned about the result of the match.  Shame on CAF! Shame!

I would have refused to play the match if i were nff officials but how can we even talk.  Was our own that much better? I’m ashamed, angry and feel demoralized from having been put through that

Where Pinnick and Dare not dressed up for this match? I did not see them warming up on the sidelines. Dare should have come in for Iheanacho, and Pinnick the Mercurial midfield maestro should have replaced Etebo. Make dem come dazzle for match as they dazzled in training.

    • Dr Drey 3 years ago

Dare took a knock in training yesterday while Pinnick forgot his boots in the hotel when they were on their way to the stadium.

how be better than etebo? did you watch at all? the viewing was so bad it amazes me how in less than 70 mins (coupled with farmyard pitch) you have accessed that statement of yours. etebo that won the man of the match for last leg.
the most annoying thing was the commentator – the guy even said “Iheanacho the man city player”. I mean, seriously??!!!??
I dare Barcelona to come play their tiki-taka on this pitch. we should be thanking God most of our players would be going in one piece.
I pray for quick recovery for osimhen and etebo

The Super Eagles and the Leone Stars played out a scoreless draw. But we had a winner today. The outright winner of this encounter was the Siaka Stevens stadium pitch. That pitch completely defeated the host team and their visitors.
What a brilliant piece of strategy by S/L! If you can’t beat your opponent, make sure they can’t beat you as well by dragging them into a pitch were football is pretty much impossible. Thanks to NFF for showing S/L the way. When S/L saw how bad things were for us on the bad pitch in Benin, they must have thought “Aha! This is what we need to do to keep Nigeria in check in the reverse fixture!”
Hope the NFF have learned their lesson. Play our matches on surfaces that will bring out the best in our boys, and please, please, please, stay away from training sessions! Allow the team to focus and train without distractions.

Rohr won kill Ejuke as he kill Onyekuru. Y didn’t he bring him in to use his skills probably to win a penalty?

    • Dr Drey 3 years ago

Hahahaha…e nor use skill win penalty for Benin wey the pitch still good small, na this millet farm he go use skill win penalty….LMAO. Even the S/L wey do leg over for 1st half, the ball bounce enter reverse go trowin….e nor try the leg over again till the match end.

Senegal only has mane and koulibaly, sarr plays in championship, algeria has only mahrez and bennacer, cameroon choupu moting! And you are telling me that we can’t dominate africa? Keshe, rest in peace, but rohr has to leave, yeah musa too

These two shows the importance of players like ndidi, Samuel Kalu, Simon Moses and oshimen to the team.. These guys are some of the most important players at the moment. This calls for further players scouting. more midfielders are needed. Iwobi Kept giving wrong passes today, he needs a similar player to provide competition for him.. Going further.. Ejaria , olisa , lukmon and others should be invited in the futurs..
Let’s support the coach, it is not as bad as it looks.. Wishing oshimem fast recovery

  • Mehn this pitch makes the benin pitch look like old Trafford what decay. Not fit to host secondary school games. The moment I saw the pitch I knew we cant win this game. We are using aje butter players that are used to lush green pitches and touch me not games to play footballers who are used to playing on untarred roads with potholes with their bare feet.
Rohr didnt learn from his mistakes in the last game when he started players out of position or who are better off on the bench. The damage has already been done in the first leg. We got a draw and are still ahead in the group. While some teams have already qualified for the competition, we have to wait till march next year to continue with qualifiers when we could have qualified already and used those two remaining games to try other players or try new tactics with the team.
I hope from now till march the NFF Will decide the faith of rohr and yobo. As far as im concerned they dont have what it takes to take this team to the next level which is winning a major tournament.
They will surely qualIfy the team for the next adcon but when push turns to shove and its time to put on their thinking caps in a tough situation, they will disappoint again and again. I mean I don’t like looking at the past but how many games have we drawn after taking the lead, how long will we continue to talk about how the team cant deal with crosses in diffence.
How is it that fans, journalists and ex players are the only one seeing the lapses in the team and not the coaching crew. Why does he keep inviting players he has no intention of using and who have no place in the team. He keeps starting players that have no business starting all because of their status in the team.
He has no answer to the question of our midfield lacking good backups. The list goes on and on. I really used to be a fan of the coach, he helped the team out of a bad spot and boosted our ratings but its time for both to move and for someone new to breathe new life into the team.
