Chelsea took on the MLS side in the Final Whistle on Hate game, which was arranged some time ago to raise awareness of the on-going rise in hate crimes around the world, and is reported to have raised over £3million.
Chelsea were committed to play and boss Maurizio Sarri put out a strong side with Eden Hazard among the players to start the game.
The Blues won the game 3-0 thanks to a brace from Ross Barkley and a further strike from Olivier Giroud, but the victory came at a cost as second-half substitute Loftus-Cheek picked up the injury.
Chelsea fans are now waiting for an update regards the player’s fitness and will be keeping their fingers crossed it is not serious.
