Chelsea defender David Luiz has signed a new contract at the club which will see him stay at Stamford Bridge until 2021.
The Brazilian has made 48 appearances across the season for the Blues and he has helped them secure a berth in the Champions League for next season as well as a place in the Europa League final.
In signing a new deal, Luiz has tempted Chelsea to change their stance, with the Blues reluctant to give over 30s more than one-year contracts.
However, Chelsea are preparing for life with a transfer ban after their appeal was turned down, with the club unable to sign players for two transfer windows.

Luiz is now set to stay in London and he insists he is delighted to remain a Blue.
He told the club’s official website: “I am so happy to be here and to have this opportunity to stay.
I love this club and I still have the ambition of a young player. “It means a lot to reach another European final, and we still have the opportunity to finish in the top three of the Premier League this season and I will continue to try to do my best to help the team.”Copyright © 2020 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
