Former Argentina striker, Sergio Aguero, has stated that Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder, Alexis Mac Allister impressed with incredible performances for La Albiceleste (The White and Sky Blue) at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Allister became a key factor for Argentina as they secured the World Cup title for the third time after previously winning the trophy at Argentina ’78 and Mexico ’86 editions.
Aguero hailed Mac Allister’s intelligence and spatial awareness in the field of play.

“Mac Allister is another who had an incredible World Cup and it does not surprise me to read that he is already coveted by other teams,” Aguero told Stake.com.

“He is young and intelligent with great ball handling and he knows how to find spaces very well in a football where there are fewer and fewer spaces.”
Mac Allister had a goal and an assist in the six games he played for Argentina at Qatar 2022.
Argentina emerged the 2022 World Cup champions after prevailing 4-2 over France on penalties following a 3-3 scoreline in regulation time.
Argentina are now third on the World Cup winners table behind Brazil (five-time winners), Germany and Italy (four-time winners each).
