Alexis Mac Allister’s father, Carlos Mac Allister, has officially denied transfer rumors linking the midfielder to Real Madrid, confirming that no contact or negotiations have taken place with the Spanish club.
Following his FIFA World Cup 2026 campaign with Argentina, the midfielder is taking a break to rest before returning to Premier League action.

Carlos dismissed the speculation as mere rumors and reiterated that he would first discuss any future offers with Liverpool’s management.
He also noted that while it is flattering to be linked with top-tier clubs, it is important to be respectful to the institution that believed in him.
“We’ve not spoken to any Real Madrid official, what’s being circulated about us holding talks with Real Madrid is not true,” he told 365Scores.
“Alexis still has two seasons on his contract with Liverpool.
“Right now, his focus is to get some rest for a few weeks, and then go back to playing in the Premier League, that’s the current situation.”

Mac Allister played a crucial role in Argentina’s journey to the FIFA World Cup 2026 final, where they lost to Spain.
Appearing in all eight matches, he provided vital midfield balance, scored an important goal in the quarterfinals against Switzerland, and set a tournament record for the longest unbeaten run in World Cup history.
Despite his contributions throughout the tournament, Mac Allister’s performance in the 1-0 World Cup final defeat to Spain received heavy criticism.
