Maddison: Ndidi Is The Best Ball Winning Midfielder In The Premier League

James Maddison believes his Leicester City teammate Wilfred Ndidi is the best defensive midfielder in the English Premier League.

Ndidi has enjoyed a fine season with the Foxes and has scored two goals in 12 league appearances.

He has earned rave reviews from manager Brendan Rodgers and his teammates.

“I think he’s the best in the Premier League at tackling and winning the ball back, bar none,” Maddison told Football Daily.

“I know (N’Golo) Kante is a brilliant player and there are players like that. But actually winning the ball back and taking the ball off the opposition, I don’t think there is anyone better than Wilfred.

“Sometimes you get a player like that and what he does doesn’t get on the back page of the papers, doesn’t get talked about on Match of the Day. Us as team-mates and players who play against him realise what a top player he is.

“He’s fantastic at what he does and he lets players like me and Youri Tielemans do our thing higher up the pitch because we know we’ve got that solidity behind us.”

…good contributors and editors of CSN, please Bobby Adekanye just had his full professional debut for SS Lazio, every well-meaning Super Eagles fans should continue to sound it out to Coach Rohr and the NFF egg-heads that we need to set the ball rolling now to get that guy Bobby Adekanye, he is as good if not more technically balanced and gifted than Samuel Chukwueze… Please NFF, help us talk to Rohr and commence modalities immediately to begin to speak to Bobby Adekanye… it is my opinion that by June 2021, we should have assembled our potential world cup… Bobby Adekanye is still only 21years…

Thank you very much for once more sounding out Bobby to everyone, though he’s been known to many since his Liverpool days, but you almost soiled your good work with undermining of another player just because you want to hype Adekanye. So after just 65 mins in his first professional match, he has suddenly become better than Samu who is in his 2nd season in a top club in a top league and already has an AFCON medal.

Sometimes the way we tacitly pull down our current players because another is emerging is really saddening…..2 good games by Ebere Eze in the championship and all of a sudden Iwobi became a piece of trash and people were taking turns to rubbish the kid for another who cannot even nail a permanent place at U20 and U21 levels for England…??

No, Cmon people, lets learn to temper our excitement with some fidelity…!
