Spanish giants Real Madrid and RB Leipzig have reached an agreement on principle with RB Leipzig over the transfer of Cote d’Ivoire international Yan Diomandé. as reported by RMC Sport (via Yahoo Sports).
PSG, with whom Diomandé initially had an agreement on personal terms, have walked out of the deal. Diomandé’s transfer fee is expected to go above the €100m mark.
For weeks, the back-to-back Champions League winners were the favourite to sign Diomandé. But PSG’s efforts to lower his transfer fee have backfired, with the player now set to join Real Madrid.

RMC Sport adds that PSG have decided not to yield to RB Leipzig’s financial requirements with Les Parisiens keen on not overpaying for Diomandé.
Furthermore, PSG executives have been reportedly left disappointed by the behaviour of Diomandé’s agents. The latter reportedly changed their stance despite reaching an agreement with PSG.
