Aidan O’Brien says Magna Grecia is likely to step up in trip as they consider entries at York and Leopardstown. The three-year-old made a positive start to the season by winning the Qipco 2000 Guineas but struggled to compete last time out at the Curragh.
He had to settle for fifth place in the Tattersalls Irish 2000 Guineas and O’Brien opted to give his charge a mid-season break. O’Brien is plotting a return for Magna Grecia and has revealed plans to step him up to a mile and a quarter.
“We will have a look at York and Leopardstown for him and we might well go up to some of those mile-and-a-quarter races with him next time,” said O’Brien. “He is just back after a break. We will just see have to wait and see how long he takes to get back fit again.”Copyright © 2020 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
