Leicester City defender Harry Maguire says Jamie Vardy will continue to keep finding the back of the net in the Premier League.
During the Foxes’ 3-1 victory against Fulham on Saturday, the first win under new manager Brendan Rodgers, Vardy reached a century of goals for the club with his first of the afternoon.
He then scored his second later on which effectively sealed the points for the former Premier League champions as they won comfortably against the strugglers.
It has been a remarkable rise for Vardy since making the £1million switch from Fleetwood in 2012, and, other than winning the top-flight title, his achievements include playing for England and breaking the record for consecutive Premier League goals.
Maguire, who has been a team-mate of Vardy’s at club and international level, says he can keep terrorising defences, despite being in his early 30s.
“It is a great achievement for himself and two great finishes. He was unselfish for our first goal,” he said. “With the way he runs at the moment he can keep going for years. He has lost no pace and is as sharp as ever.
His finishing is remarkable so if he looks after himself, which I am sure he does, he will keep going and keep scoring goals. “One on one there is no striker better. He scores from all sorts of angles and his composure is really good.”Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
