Nigeria youth international, Success Makanjuola, has completed his transfer to Laliga side CD Leganes, linking up with compatriots, Kenneth Omeruo and Chidozie Awaziem, Completesports.com reports.
Makanjuola turned down some transfer offers from English, German and French clubs before opting to put pen to paper for Leganes.

He added: “He has signed for Leganes in Spain and all that is remaining is for the club to make an official announcement.”
Makanjuola’s manager, Nureni Makanjuola, confirmed the Flying Eagles’ player’s switch said the future of his ward was the reason they agreed to sign up with Leganes.
“Leganes showed us serious commitment to have Success in their squad and for me, the development of the player is what is very paramount at the moment and not money,” Nureni told Completesports.com.
“Everything is done and dusted. we have agreed on terms with Leganes, we chose Leganes in order to develop his career from there.”
Makanjuola,18, Makanjuola played for Nigeria at the 12th All Africa Games in Rabat, Morocco where the Flying Eagles lost 2-0 to Burkina Faso in the final on Friday.
The former Water FC of Abuja winger made notable contribution to the Nigerian team’s campaign despite losing the gold medal, and was also an important player for the Paul Aigbogun’s side at the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Poland.

Success Makanjuola is another big thing to happen. He holds the ball well and can shoot with both feet with good balance and defence spliting dribbles. Watching out of this guy
They say you become who you hang out with. Hanging with Omeruo and Awaziem, Makanjuola don dey take style enter Super Eagles be dat oooo. Nice one. Alongside his big brothers, he should settle down quickly to Spanish life. Best wishes!
I have said it severally that there are members of Aigbogun’s squad who are promising this despite their below average showings at the 3 youth tournaments they have featured.
I expect to hear some of those names – Effiom, Eletu, Makanjuola, Dele-Bashiru, Oforboh etc – in seasons to come.
Good luck Makanjuola.
I’m hearing Maxwell is signing for Sandnes Ulf in Norway.
