This coach is not good at all, this girls are being played out of positions, they are really lost
This coach is not good at all, he is playing this girls out of positions, they are lost completely
From what I saw of this team on social media, they looked most unserious!
you nailed it. Very unserious
The Super Falcons have been poor this first half astonishingly!Their performances have been shockingly bad.
Poor tactical execution, communication breakdowns, players out of sinc.nerves leading to rushed decisions and mistakes.
In short it was a messy first half…
This girls are pathetic to watch
Waoh 2-0 already
All round poor performance
They have to get themselves together to beat Zambia and egypt
Am suspecting sabotage from the players. They played like nothing was at stake. The coach needs to go. It’s obvious he is clueless
Getting Cape Verde vibes from Malawi.
They defend deep, fight for every ball, give no space to Nigeria to operate.
And their impressive forward line has produced 2 goals. Should have been more actually. They missed some begging chances.
We should be able to beat Egypt, but Zambia?
Wahala dey.
Serious wahala dey o
Terrible from Super Falcons. 2-0 and just 4 minutes till end and no chance of scoring even a goal. I don’t see Nigeria getting out of this group with this kind of display.
Zambia will beat this lousy Falcons and they will qualify from the group with Malawi. Now Falcons don’t even have the chance to qualify for 2027 Women’s World cup in Brazil
What is wrong with Nnadozie??? Too heavy to run and out of position every time.
Rather than mark the Chawinga sisters, Ohale and Demehin were trying to keep them offside, a trap which those ones are well experienced to beat.
Nnadozie was just unserious, i don’t see them beating Zambia
Too much rice and swallow foods…She should start skipping breakfast only have light brunch at noon. She must have black coffee no sugar add tumeric, fresh lime and black pepper and make sure she has tea(Dinner)before 7pm.
No bread no fizzy drinks, when eating rice make sure half of the serving are green veggies…No eba pounded yam or fufu instead cabbage swallow for faster weight loss.
If she follow this guideline, she will have a new younger slim and beautiful looks in just 4 weeks..
Lol.
I have shouted my voice hoarse on falcons
We are not going to the world cup, period.
Thank you Gusau for finally completing the decimation of the beautiful game in Nigeria
Thank you Madugu for not knowing when to bow out.
I expected it
The coach has been abysmal but the players too are not fit enough. What’s wrong with Falcon’s goalkeeper, Nnadozie today? She has been terrible!
I wrote here a while ago that Super Falcons current players are aging and need some injection from the Falconets, u-20 team- specifically strong and fit striker Janet, who has just moved to Benfica in Portugal from Bayelsa United, but someone argued with me about who she will replace in the Super Falcons forward line. Where Janet in this team today SF would have beaten this very fit Malawian women side.
Janet would have bullied their defence to submission unlike the weakling SF strike force that were bullied out by the Malawians. Madugu and his wards have been cut to size. They were been too cocky before the match, thinking they would just turn up and beat Malawi with wide margin, without adequate preparations for the tournament.
The SF team need complete overhaul. I can’t see them beating Zambia, who are more likely to top the group and qualify with Malawi from group C. Madugu have to be relieved of the Coaching job. I am not even sure he has a technical team of Video and Performance analyst that studied the opponents before this match or any of the other matches, for that matter.
3-1 Malawi!Nnadozie surprisingly has been very poor! The central defence too,Shukuratu Oladipo whom I clamoured for really disappointed me.She had a shift to forget…
Alozie should play at her natural right back in our next game.We should play a natural left back and two defensive midfielders to support our faltering central defence..
Nnadozie is overweight and not assured between the sticks. Her position shouldn’t be untouchable, especially when we have someone better on the bench.
A good coach would have brought in a midfielder to strengthen the midfield after the shambolic first half display. I wouldn’t be surprised if the olodo of a coach repeat same error in the next match, after all, you can not give what you don’t have.
Incidentally, Uchenna and Oshoala had more bite upfront than Ihezuo and Okoronkwo. And I would have preferred Ucheibe in that middle.
Nigeria didn’t seem to have a game plan for this match and relied on their profile, while the Malawians deployed their Chawinga sisters to beat the defenders on fast breaks while the rest crowded their defence. It worked. Nigeria thought they’d had a porous defence to work with. See how so similar the goals Malawi scored were? A GAMEPLAN IN ACTION!!!
Justin Madugu (Fraud)
It’s obvious some administrative decisions are now back to haunt this team. Nicely done NFF President and kudos to them for a job well done.
Why will this stupid coach bench Deborah Abiodun. The midfield was nothing to write about. They were just being disposed by the Malawians. They better beat Zambia
It’s actually a good thing we lost this match. Sometimes, small knock dey reset person brain. Hopefully, this defeat serves as the wake-up call the NFF and the coaching crew badly need.
The first problem is the NFF’s complacency. They now seem to believe the Super Falcons can simply show up at any WAFCON and win because, well… we’re Nigeria. Na so dem think trophy dey dash person? African women’s football has evolved. Every serious team prepares. You cannot skip important FIFA windows, play too few quality friendlies, and expect chemistry to appear by magic. What we saw against Malawi was a team that lacked rhythm, cohesion, and understanding. That is the price of poor preparation.
Then there’s Coach Madugu. I’ve never been fully convinced by him. Since he took over, the team has developed an unhealthy habit of conceding goals. Defensively, we look too easy to break down, and the tactical setup often leaves more questions than answers. Let’s be honest: the girls’ fighting spirit and individual quality carried us through much of the last WAFCON. Against Malawi, however, the better tactical plan was clearly on the other bench.
His team selection also left me scratching my head.
Why is Uchenna Kanu on the bench while Ijamilusi starts? Ijamilusi works hard, but she looks a bit heavy, struggles in one-on-one situations, and doesn’t consistently threaten defenders. Her movement and decision-making in the final third still need improvement. Benching a player of Kanu’s quality for that? Abeg, make una help me understand.
Then you have Christy Ucheibe and Deborah Abiodun sitting on the bench against a physically aggressive Malawian side. Ucheibe, especially, has exactly the kind of strength, discipline, and defensive awareness needed for that type of contest. Sometimes, the selection process looks like pick any eleven and make we see wetin go happen.
Even Chiamaka Nnadozie looked unusually shaky. This wasn’t the commanding goalkeeper we’ve come to rely on. She was slow coming off her line, hesitant when sweeping behind the defense, and wasn’t as authoritative as we’re used to seeing. She’s won us countless matches over the years, so one poor game doesn’t erase that, but today wasn’t her day.
I also felt Rinsola Babajide should have been given more responsibility. Her pace and dribbling could have stretched Malawi’s defense, created width, and forced them out of shape. Instead, we looked predictable for long periods.
The good news is that Nigeria should still qualify. But from this point onward, every match must be approached as if it’s a final. The era when teams feared Nigeria simply because of the badge is over. These days, history no dey score goals. Na football wey you play for 90 minutes people dey respect.
The ladies are aging. The body is not what it used to be.
They need to rely more on intelligence and experience now, not raw power and pace.
Efficient use of space and the ball is the way forward.
It is getting better, anytime super falcon lost their opening game like this, they usually end up nothing winning the troughy.
So you guys can say hope they even qualify for world cup.
Also overconfident will kill these girls, if it has not even killed them.
