Man City Equal Man United, Chelsea UCL Semi-final Feat After Draw At Bayern

Manchester City held Bayern Munich to a 1-1 away draw in the Champions League second leg quarter-finals on Wednesday night.

City progressed into the semis 4-1 on aggregate after winning the first leg 3-0.

Pep Guardiola’s side are only the third English team to qualify for the UEFA Champions League semi-finals in three consecutive seasons, along with Chelsea and Manchester United (both 2006-07 to 2008-09).

It is the fifth time City will get to the Champions League semi-finals in their history.

Erling Haaland made amends for his first half penalty miss as he gave City the lead in the 57th minute.

With seven minutes left Bayern equalised thanks to Joshua Kimmich who converted from the penalty spot.

In the 86th minute Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel was sent off after receiving a second yellow card.

And in the second semi-final Inter Milan qualified to the last four after playing a 3-3 draw against Benfica at the San Siro.

The Serie A giants seal qualification with an aggregate score of 5-3.

The semi-final pairing will see City take on Champions League holders Real Madrid while Inter will battle city rivals AC Milan.
