Manchester City defender Nathan Ake has reiterated that the team is still desperate to win more trophies despite winning the Club World Cup.
Recall that the Citizens defeated Fluminense 4-0 to clinch the trophy for the first time on Friday.
However, Ake in a chat with the club’s website, stated that the players are eager to win more trophies.
“The feeling afterwards is one of satisfaction but when you are winning you want to keep that feeling,” Ake told City’s website.

“You know how it is to lose games and stuff and we don’t want to recreate that feeling.
“We know what we want to do and we just want to keep on going – fundamentally as players we demand it as well. It’s not the end – we want to keep going.
“Everyone is so proud and happy – not just the players but the staff behind the scenes.
“They work so hard for us to make sure that we can achieve these things and it’s a great achievement.
“We are very happy to win a lot of titles and to be able to do it in one year is incredible.
“This is the finish line, this is the one that tops off everything. It’s one that you only get to compete for when you win the Champions League so it’s not an easy one to get so yeah it’s a great feeling.
“Fighting for this title was the first objective and now we go back to the Premier League and that’s where we focus now.”
